My plant is under 4-42watt CFL's and gets direct sunlight daily. It's streched because I have LST'ed the plant and trimmed lower branches. So has anyone had black tips that seam to slowly eat the leaf?

I had similar tip problems , when I foliar fed and droplets ran down the leaf blade and didnt entirley evaporate . once i started shaking the plant an hour before lights on , to discharge any remaining water the problem dissapeared . the issue seem to magnify when i foliar fed with nutrients . coupled with foil that might be your issue . if not disreguard .

Isn't that a rust fungus? I don't know much about the subject yet because I haven't researched it much but had some of the same looking shit , I removed every leaf that had the shit on it because it seemed to spread and thats the first thing I read about rust fungus, remove every part of the plant that is infected. If this is not a rust fungus someone correct me.

Usually know as "RUSTING" and yes it could be but i wouldent say it was until it has been eliminated from bugs.
There are ways to tell if its bugs or rusting.
(good call).

This is what I think my rust fungus looked/looks like....Dunno how to check for bugs other than putting it under the scope and looking for movement? I dunno how small those bastards are but I sat here and looked at my affected leaves under the scope for quite some time and don't see a sign of movement.

Spider mites are invisible to the human eye as the most common mite is the 2 spotted mite and around 0.5mm in its biggest size and the eggs are around the same size but they are translusent and can only bee seen with a high powered scope. I had mites before and i could only see them by using a 100x loupe scope.

I recently started brewing my own earthworm castings tea and have found this info, dunno how valid it is but it states......Liquid worm casting is a rather powerful and effective kind of an insect repellant that can kill white flies, aphids and spider mites. These are harmful insects that suck out the juice from your lovely indoor plants. Yet, it is gentle on your plant. You can even prevent and help your indoor house plant fight fungal infections and common diseases like black spot, rust, powdery mildew and several other types of common pathogens.

If this is true no matter what the the original poster has (mites or rust fungus) foliar earthworm tea will def help. I haven't tried it foliar yet but I just added my first batch to my res this morning. With any luck it will help with whatever it is I and the original poster had/have.
I've also read that a solution of garlic and water works as a cure for rust fungus.
