bit of help plz

hi there can any1 clear up a question for me, seems to be a bit of difference of opinion of what size of air pump to use in a bucket bubbler, i have 2 5litre bucket bubblers but the pump is only a mouse pump which runs at 1.8litres per min, 1 forum said that should be enough another said you need at least twice that per bucket, its worth mentioning that iam not using a seperate res just 2 buckets with air pump on 24/7. iam growing in a small cupboard 3 m2. with a 250w mh, but 10 days from sprouting and barely 4inches tall with only 2 full sized leaves, as iam not seeing the massive root growth others are getting wondering whats going wrong, ph ec temp humid and fresh air all perfect, so if any1 can clear up this mystery it would be a big help, tryed this with 2 diff strains with the same slow growth. plz help guys..

I'm using a single Whisper 10-30 ($13 @ Wally World) air pump for one DWC plant in a 5gal bucket, it's doing great. I also have a 30-60 feeding 2 buckets, no problems there either.

I suppose air is like light, it's hard to have "too much".

Well the more bubbles the more air and the more air the better, but the biggest factor for keeping water oxygenated is to keep it cool...

good man thanks, is that 10-30 litres per min or? temps around 19-20c in the solution. iam only using a 1 gallon bucket would that effect its growth? not sure whether its the light or the pump the only difference between other bubblers and mine is only using 250w mh and only using 1 gallon bucket, but surely that would cause slow growth. only a small cupboard so i think a 400w would be overkill. What do you pro's think. as i have very little experience.

seems to be a good forum, very keen to help fello growers thanks lads, put the same post on a diff forum 28 views and not 1 reply.

only using 250w mh and only using 1 gallon bucket
The 10-30 is for the aquarium size, 10-30 gallons. I looked but couldn't fnd the air flow rate.

250W for one plant seems good to me (but what do I know), but the 1 gal bucket seems a bit small, how do your roots look?
