Ok short back story: I have a very paranoid wife.
So this is what happened - I moved to ABQ, NM and finally got my grow licence renewed last Feb and started a new grow from seed. My plan was a small grow (refer to back story). I got 2 18 gallon storage containers and turned one of them into a hood for my 350w led and stacked it on top of the other one and which I used as the pot for the plants. I only filled it half way with soil leaving about 9 inches from the top of the pot. I planned to scrog out this little 18 gallon container and put a screen (chicken wire) over the top of the pot.
Well I discarded the males and kept a white widow, a blue berry, and an OG13 and they filled out the screen nicely to about 60%. I took a clone of each and figured that when they rooted in a week or two I'd flip the the one to 12/12. Well I have to grow in my garage (refer to back story) which can get very hot and at my last place we had a swamp cooler and vented it through the garage which helped keep my 4x4 tent cool enough. This new place we have has refrigerated air and I cant vent it through the garage like the last place and my temps got way to high to flower. Also I didn't think my clones were gonna make it either due to the heat.
After 3 weeks I almost threw out the clones but I got lazy. Then I checked them a couple days later they finally all rooted through the peat pellet. They all looked fucking awful but they had roots. I filled another 18 gallon storage bin, this time near full, and put them in it.
I decided to just veg them through the heat of the summer and added 4 T12 fixtures to scrog out my whole tent and then flower when it cools down. Plants in both containers are currently near the same height because the one with clones was filled with soil and the first one was only filled half way. So my questions are:
Should I try to carefully pull out the first 3 plants from its container, fill the out the container with more soil and put them back in so the roots have a full 18 gallons to grow in? But then they will really be taller than the clones.
Should I just leave them how they are but take the screen off?
Should I leave them how they are but leave the screen on and let them grow through that screen to the next one?
Since they clones are just getting started should I leave them how they are, leave the screen on and top everything currently growing through the screen so it fills out even fuller? The screen is about 85% full already and already did a pretty good LST job on those plants.
What do you think?
