I don't understand why the media calls these people nuts though. The "birthers" think the cirtificate is fraud, so what? They are mentally ill now? That doesn't make sense folks.

If the media is all gung-ho about Obama being a citizen and that paper they showed is solid proof, then let's move on to another issue. Why do they hold on to this and continue to call the people who care a bunch of nutjob crazies? I know there are some mental cases out there, but most just want legitimate answers instead of constant Uh's and Um's and dancing around questions.

He should produce the document... my personal theory is that there are documents he does NOT want to disclose, and is setting an early precedent by refusing to produce documents he is not compelled to. If I were going to test the legal limits of disclosure, it would damned sure be something I COULD produce. You think congress is going to push the issue? Nope... the answer is known to them. Plus you have the bonus joy of the hard liners sounding loony.

The funny part is, it demonstrates the hilarious demographic of CNN viewers. That sort of controversy, and he has a valid point, makes CNN viewers change the station.

I had to show MY birth certificate to get a driver's license... And had to make several trips because they didn't accept my "equivalent" document...
So why is it ok for Obama to not need a birth certificate? For a President who wants Laws and Taxes for everything, it seems Ironic that he won't even follow such a simple law as the Birth Certificate thing....
