Binaural Sound

So I read this article from Cracked.com about different ways to "get high" without the use of narcotics and one of the examples was binaural sound. So I further looked it up on Wikipedia and found some tracks to see if it will work. Supposedly you listen to these tracks of beats that are separated by no more than 30 Hz in frequency through stereo headphones. What happens is that one sound wave is introduced only to one ear and the other is introduced only to the other. Because they are so similar in frequency, they trick the brain causing outcomes such as relaxation, increased focus, and alertness to more extreme feelings like hallucinations, out of body experiences, and "vision quests."

I wanna see if it works and was wondering if other people wanted to join me. I'm first gonna listen to a couple of tracks (one from Wikipedia) for about 10 minutes and see what happens. Then I'm gonna get high and try it again.

I get the feeling it's going to be disappointing, but what the hell, right? If binaural sound really created hallucinations I think I would have heard about it by now, although apparently very little research has been done on these sounds. It could be fun though, and maybe it will be cool while I'm high. Besides, I'm in the mood for experimentation. :weed:

I'll post a couple of updates. Anyone else in?

Alright, I just tried about 30 minutes of listening to different tracks, and there's not that much to it. The tracks from youtube sound cool, but they make it into more of a new age kind of music rather than just the soundwaves. The second track from Wikipedia was the most intense. I sometimes felt like something weird was happening, but it was nothing more than just a slight feeling and it only lasted for a few seconds.

The most surprising effect for me occurred when I stopped the music and took my headphones off to return to the ambient noise in my room. I heard a deep warbling sound for a few minutes that felt like it was in my head. It soon faded to nothingness though.

So no hallucinations, no vision quests, etc. I'm still gonna try it while high, but I feel like binaural sound is overhyped and doesn't cause the druglike effects people would want.

Still a cool idea though.

most audio things that deal with specific or very high or low frequencies on youtube don't work because youtube changes things around with audio]

audio illusions are fun to listen to as well

So I went to go smoke the weed. I took three hits, gotpretty buzzed. I think to myself that I'm gonna take a shower and then take two more before I go listen to the music.

I swear to you, I have never had these types of feelings on marijuana. Probably the closest thing I have ever come to a hallucenation.

I take my shower and then I start noticing things. But not just noticiing, when I noticed something, it would surprise me. Not in a bad way though. I looked at my body wash and it felt like the first time I had ever seen it. Just sort of surprising. The rest of the shower I just felt really light. I close my eyes and I see a wolf looking back at me. I then go to turn off the and wat and the knob has the head of a snake. Nothing scary though, just a snake looking at me.

Fucking crazy, right. I wonder if it's the music? I've never tripped this hard. Very pleasant though. Not violent or scary, the animals were nice, they just looked curious. Wow...I just read that last sentence and I must be tripping balls. This is enjoyable, just a second, I'll be back, I just wanna enjoy some stuff first.

there is a program called i-dozer. they have there own file format so u can only listen using their player. of course u have to buy the tracks.

a friend of mine sent me a cracked version. i had these file names named after each drug.

so for example if i wanted to get high on crystal meth i would load that file and put my EARPHONES (not headphones) on. you have to listen for about 30 minutes.

i tried a few and they didnt work. i tried something and it did work. i was totally fucked up just sat infront of my computer.

my friend tried it and he was fucked up he passed out and hit head on his desk!! so be carful!

i-dozer sound files in .mp3
You can go the free route and fuck with your mind using binaural sound files! I know it sounds like bs but I've tried it and it works. You have to wear headphones and lay down in a dark room for it to work. The files are sold by idoser for up to $200 but i found a site that has them all free (with cool descriptions).

The MP3's and FLAC files don't work as well as the program, or may not even work at all. That said, you can easily find the I-Doser program on public bit torrent sites.
