I've heard from people who have seen huge plants in Thailand, they can be years old. The largest plants are probably found in the Tropics and maybe some sub-tropical regions, just big old sativas:bigjoint:
iono about that. if the plants are years old they are probably not being cultivated, it just happened naturally.

Yep all natural, where do you think breeders are getting these cool new landrace genetics? :weed: Shit the army boys smoked in Vietnam was pulled out of the jungle:bigjoint:

that would be an awesome yield... i seen a documentary where the plants are grown in doors in veg for 6-9 months then they are transplanted outdoors at the very begining of the spring season... these plants were literally 15-20ft tall and wide as a short tree.. i think the documentary was on cnbc

I cant rememer what magazine althought it was hightimes, had the biggest plant of 2009 and it yielded 17lbs, I dont remember the height and sq. footage but it reminded me of that pic in this thread where the plant just dwarfs the dude standing in front of it. Up here in N. Cali Ive seen plenty of plants from 8-12lbs that are always 100% organic, Im stoked if I can yield half that off one plant, 2-5lbs is average for our medical garden, one of these days I'll get up there with the big boys

Vietnam probably has close to the biggest plants.. Ive heard story's about sativas reaching the top the canopy a good 25+ feet... Good luck beating nature man... But def let us know how it goes if you ever do it!

14 feet is really big but I know there are taller plants out there, the picture earlier in this thread was about a 20 footer or close to it...

I have a plant now that is 7 ft tall 9ft wide and 9ft long expecting 42 ounces dry. She is 4.5 months old and will be harvested in 2 weeks. From seed. Next season I will be growing 10 plants this large or larger in my green house research facility. This plant was done in a modified drip irigation soil system completely indoors through scrog and lst. The main node was never topped trimmed or pinched in any means. It looks like an Ochu from final fantasy xiii. Anyways Keep an eye out for pics in hightimes medial mag this coming year for anything by GLAMMR greens. I personally wouldn't use anything but 600 HPS as they are the most efficient light bulb period for indoor growing be it veg or flower.

The link for you tube is no good, they removed the video. The plant in the picture earlier in the thread is about 14 feet tall, if the guy standing in the fore ground is 6 feet tall. marijuana could get a lot bigger especially on or near the equator where the growing season is the longest. my uncle who was in nam said he climbed a marijuana plant over there that had buds 4 feet long and as big around as your arm. i would think the Vietnamese dalat ? grows big big , with heights of 10 feet or more grown in the right room in the right conditions could get as big as you wanted it, provided you kept it in a veg cycle for a long time , there are 25 year old clones out there. I would say its open to speculation and i just noticed this thread is old as hell FUCK.

I think that outdoor plants definitely get the biggest, tallest, thickest trunks, and biggest buds.

What i would do is build a huge vegative chamber with some MH lights, and fluro T5's on the sides. Then veg a very good strain for about 4-6 months during the winter, and then plant it outside in the spring so it would veg even longer in the outside.

You would need a chainsaw to take it down.

Yeah I was also thinking about doing something like that, i need something like a small tree to fit in with my garden and not stand out, but it musn't be higher than 6', as all my neighbours are cops or prison guards.

you would have to first grow an indoor monster, keeping it in veg for a ridiculous amount of time, and then once its already super huge, put it outside in a bigger hole at the beginning of the outdoor grow season...
i agree with this. the investment to return ratio on that crazy indoor setup would be very poor, especially since the focus would be on a single plant. i think a much better goal would just be to shoot for the highest YEILD with that setup using multiple plants. the single plant thing would be better left for the sun.

Yes I would agree with you that an outdoor plant would yield more, But there isn't anywhere in the world where a marijuana plant can grow naturally In the ground and not flower at the end of the season, if there was there would be a well known place(s) " where the dope plants are 40 feet tall and as old as redwoods" well not that old but you guys get the point. thats why i would say an indoor tree operation would be better. Or veg the plant indoors for years until it's 20 feet tall and put it out at the beginning of the season and let it go natural, by the end of the season it would yield pounds . Oh and just to clarify this, I'm not talking for an investment purpose , I mean for one plant to try to get as huge as possible . like a science experiment, Or just to say you did it .

Lol I cut down some 15'+ weeds the other day which germinated maybe in winter, we are in late spring now....
Just a shame its such an exposed place, would be neat to plant some herb there. I think if you give a plant about 3 months headstart inside under lights, it will grow into a behemoth here. Our summer is so long I've grown 19 week flowering haze.

There is a Town over here that does not enforce marijuana laws, and there is a plant in the town that u can get a permit off to harvest a quart a yr, and that thing is a god damn tree, u can climb its branches and all. It never dies, it just reveg's after harvest - its over 10yrs old. This magical place is called Nimbin.
Haha chur, im a smoker in north island of new zealand, I heard about this place from an aussie friend, who brought me a hemp shirt made in nimbin :)

Fuckin buzzy to know that though.

Happy stoning :))
