Just wanted to put up a pic of my comparison grow. Purple Kush 5 weeks since switch to 12/12. They are clones taken off the same mother vegged 6 weeks. Plant on left is in a 5gl pot. Plant on right 7gl pot. I rotate them daily allowing equal light during the grow. As you can see bigger pot bigger plant.

And also greener ,healthier ,less moisture stress and salt burn.
Funny you should say that because it's the only one out of six i've fed molasses too! Have another thread started on molasses use. I personally don't think it does shit for my grows. Indoor and outdoor. Other folks mileage may vary. Me, i'm all set on using it again. Everyones grows are different and I won't use it again at least with this strain.

As far as moisture stress I doused them last night with about a gallon and a half of tea each I had been brewing for 2 days. Every 3 watering/feeding I like to get a good 20% runoff on my ladies. Keeps everything nice and even. Just me though. I personally think they are looking pretty good. Another 4-5 weeks and i'll be harvesting some nice dense bud that taste great.

Nice plants, i'm a firm believer in "more roots more shoots".
That's my feeling. I know outdoors if I use 20 gls or more of soil I get some beasts. Verses growing with 5gls of soil. I know a guy in Oregon that grows 15ft plants and yields 4-5 lbs each. Using 100 gls or more of soil. I'm limited on space indoors right now and i'm wondering if I should try and grow 4 this time in 10 gl pots. My goal is at least a pound per harvest. Can't see why I couldn't pull 4 zips per plant. Growing 6 now and expecting about 3 zips a plant if all goes well.

awesome post. i agree 100% with the bigger pots, bigger plants. i just want to throw this out there to ya....ditch the plastic potters and get some smart pots or other types of fabric planters. ive done the exact same thing u have done up above tons of times and always conclude the bigger planters flat ass smoke the smaller ones...but if u wanna step ur game up a little bit more, try 7gallon smart pots. the results are another step up in your overall plant growth/development. if u were to add a third picture of a plant in the 7g smart pot, it would be a little bigger and bushier than the 7g plastic planter. once u go with smart pots, i gaurentee u will never go back to plastic!!

good lookin ladies btw.

Thanks man that's some great advice. I have some 3 week old clones going which will be moved into final pots in a couple weeks. I'm going to try your suggestion it's well worth the investment for better yields. I've heard no bad stories about them. Thanks for the advice and the compliment.

when i doubled my pot size my yields nearly tripled.
I grew a 10 ounce purple kush outdoors last summer in 20 gls of my super soil. I usually only use 10gls of soil outdoors. And get 4-8 zips per plant. Only about 4 months grow time here.
