Bigger plants?

Hey everyone, thinking about starting again and looking at different, more efficient, methods so just wanted to ask- Do bigger plants mean a bigger yield or would you say smaller plants but more of them? I have a set space that i could grow 3-4 lovely plants in or would packing more plants in but not as big such as a SoG give me a better yield?
Thanks all

IMO i would say using scrog or lst on smaller plants will give u a bigger yeild. that way u can have numerous tops instead of 4 or 5 top colas

I am actually about to find out myself, well sort of. I have been growing alaskan thunder fuck in a 4x4 when I grew 14 smaller plants in 3 gal bags I got an oz or so less than 10 plants in the same bags. I kind of lollipopped the 14 but not to far up. With the 10 bigger ones I cut off everything half way down and lower. I also fim about 1 to 2 weeks before flowering with both methods. I use 2 400 watters 1 hps and 1 mh. I got around 9 oz in 45 days of flowering. Although some folks say that is a small yield for my room I am just fine with 9 oz every 45 days but of course I would like more if possible. I was told that less bigger plants will produce more and that scrog would be my best bet so I am vegging 4 yumbolts in 10 gal totes. I will have to see if the plants will do well in a scrog and know for myself I guess.
