Ok so some of my plants are wilting but still green but with purple stems and some of my plants are turning from green to a pretty good yellow. The roots when i pull them up are not the bright white like i know they should be but more of an off white color, getting closer to root rot. The plants are young so there is minimal root growth, i picked up the clones from a dispensary. The plants have gotten worse and look terrible.
My ph i have kept between 5.5 to 6.2
My ppms sit at about 550 to 650
My water temp raises immediately after i put in new water and it gets up to 28 to 30 degrees Celsius, which is about 82 to 85 f. I know this is too high but im just trying to figure if this is the problem.
Also my ms measurement is about 1200 to 1300 not sure what that stands for but it is on my hanna tester that i got from the hydro store. What should it be at?

A diagnosis would be great.

Also, I have 2 600 watt lights running above my two 20 site aero systems. I have use the system before and the water temp did not raise this much. How do i control the water temps moving up this high?

Any advice would be great, thanks.

What kind of aero system? -First question, which will lead to further questions.

I can tell you that the purple stems are a result of phosphorous deficiency, and the yellowing of the leaves nitrogen deficiency. Since your nute levels are a good amount for a transplant it's prolly cause your roots are dying.

DROP YOUR TEMPS man.....this is your problem.
any thing above 73-75ish is tourture to your plants, there is NO oxygen in your water. your plants arnt feeding themselfs properly. you NEED your water around 63-67. never above 70

you can buy a water chiller... wich is mad $$$
or you can go the way i did and put frozen jugs in your res once or twice a day.
with temps that high i wouldnt expect them to live for very long bro..
once you get the water cooled they should perk up and get back on track, from what you typed it sounds like everything else is in order.

yes it is your temp!!! 80 degrees is root rot city read the posts for cooling down your resavore a fan above a strong bubbler works very good sadly one day (24 hours) of over 80 temp is a full blown killer imposable to save

ok i firgured that the water temp was the problem thanks for the replies. How do I keep the water temp from rising? I have the ducting running through both my lights and running out the tent. What would be the best method to help the situation. The plants by the way are totally dead but im going to get more now that i know what the problem is.

^^ do what that guy already suggested above. Take milk jugs, clean them, fill with water, freeze them. Put them in your res. Do it twice a day. Bam!

or if you got mad $ , buy a digital chiller, set it to 68 and never worry about temps again.

is your pump in your soulution or out sdie your rez. If in can you move it. I run a rez and if I didnt have a chiller i would run some clean hose through it in a coil and have a cold water tank away from any heat.. the water just circulates through the hose and helps cool it off. Other ways to help is move rez out of room if you can. For the roots I have used Propogator from Future Harves Development to help increase root growth. Works awesome and has helped friends get through bad time with something at the end.

the pump is in the res which is inside of my 4x8 tent. I like the milk jugs idea or some how getting the res outside of the tent. Thanks for the ideas.

is your pump a sub-pump? or can you take it out of the water? the pump heats up the water 10-15 degrees..
but iv been using the milk jugs and its droped my temps from 75 to 65. and thats just one jug, one time a day.
good luck man! hope ya get it worked out.

if u use a decent size air bubble like 80 watts and put a fan right above the water where the bubles break the surface it cools the water by almost 10 ddegrees it works great!!! and the plants love the extra oxygen also u can put your pump on a on off timer mine starts every 8 min runs for 60 sec and that works great and keeps the temp down

yea if you get the pump on a timer, MAKE SURE you sit and watch your plants as you dial it in. the on-off intervals will vary between strains. you dont want your plants getting under/overwatered constantly everyday...
