my friend and i operate a legal Nor Cal Collective, 950+ members. not painting the floor.

yeah that two inch stuff isnt light proof thought, just an FYI, the one with only one side foil backed. the more dense both side reflective stuff is light proof. panda film is cheap. one roll did that entire half, 85 bucks. @ 18 bucks a sheet for insulation it would of cost a few hundred.
Plenty of insulation though.

And yeah, at 22.00 a sheet it was expensive.

But worth it.

Coming together quick and clean...Curious if I remember right you were using 2 gallon perfect pots in your last grow???? If so what medium did you use and did you have any problems with root bound?
um some strains would get root bound, especially when we used rppts excel a lot, a problem we were having was them growing out the bottom the sitting in the little water left in the trays and they would start to rot and the whole plant would start yellowing, i simply think there is more yield potential in a bed. an i can change plant spacing, to help equal veg time. ive found numerous advantages to the beds... wait till i get the full design of the bed posted, i think it should work awesome...

oh and i also used happy frog in the pots.

Ever consider flood and drain? Those beds you built could easily be converted if you end up not liking how the beds work out. I would think a bit more bracing would be needed if you flood but still an easy conversion. Check this thread when you get a chance...homemade flood table https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/152980-8-x-12-sog-grow.html
little intimidated by hydro still. maybe start on tray that way after i get the room dialed and both sides running smoothly.

got my moms and plants that have been vegging in 3" pots for like two months (garbage) moved today.

hooked a charcoal filter up. then a sediment water filter to a hose.

just getting small things together and dialed in now...

Looking good bro...How does the sediment filter work? good water pressure or slow like an r.o.??? I have a hose right outside my room and would love to use something like that assuming it works with better water pressure than my r.o.

Also just took another look at your exhaust setup...just a thought (and not sure if it's even an issue) but maybe swap those chains out for long bungie straps (the rubber ones) looks like that muffler would slide around easy and possibly rattle the chains when it's on....the rubber would silence and prevent it from moving...from the looks of thing you have it under control...just a thought

it works great awesome pressure, just like out of a regular faucet, i also have an R.O. just the 100gpd one for flushes, it takes forever and just dribbles lol.

its just a scrubber and its on right now, that big silver thing is a muffler(sorry just noticed you already stated that), its actually super light, the heaviest part is the actual fan, i noticed in the photos its not so even ill hang the chain more even but its not going anywhere i gave it a good tug and what not. its on right now, and its hard to hear standing in the room with all the wall fans going. i got a light whistling too. lol i can hear that over everything, those duct mufflers WORK!

thanks for the tip thought, do they make big old rubber bungees? that muffler is big, that can filter is 5'4" tall or something like that. had to carry that bitch down some stairs today. thing weighs like 200+ lbs, it has to. i about died.

started transplanting last night. wooooot. 1/4 yard of 3/4" cinder per bed, 10 bags of happy frog per bed. and roughly 100 plants per bed...

Full Cali Mist tray ( only young "fresh" clones, less than a month old ) 105 plants

Real nice bro. Im getting some great ideas from you with the whole open bed design. fuckin tits if you got the room. I was wondering how you built them to angle towards the drain? I got some carpentry know how so Id love to put together a few like yours. How do you plan on supplementing co2 for that size of a room? It seems like you'd need a burner.

i just put two drains per bed in the middle of the 4x4 area. the board sags from all the weight toward the drain. the beds are level...

not supplementing CO2. just a big intake running on intervals to keep the humidity in check...

whats your plant count looking like right now? seems like you get more plants with every post. haha cant even imagine what your electric bill is going to be next month! two 400w tents are killing us here. Nice room though. better utilization of the space than that other garage grow in the thread. cant wait to see it in flower!

im guessing the bill will be right around 1000. we'll see.

its looking like 350 to 400 this round. this tray is all cali mist, the only tray thats all one strain 105 plants in this bed.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!!! Criticism welcome also, i'd like to know if you can see any improvements i can make. thanks again everyone.

Curious what kind of spacing those plants are placed at (looks like you measured it all out)...Also how deep is the bed (2x12?)? Any worry about the roots or drainage? Looks real good!

plant spacing is roughly 5 to 7 inches from stalk to stalk, depending on strain. the actual soil depth from the weed barrier to the top of the soil is right around 9 inches. but the sides/ends are 2x12s yes...

i have a entire 1.5" layer of 3/4 cinder for drainage, also two drains per bed. much more drainage i have seen anyone else incorporate into their beds... i also put tubes in the four corners of each bed that are buried into the rocks so every time i water new air is sucked under neath each soil layer via those tubes. i think its pretty ingenious if you ask me... i think my beds are pretty "advanced" not just some soil tossed in there.

total plant count is 343. got em all transplanted today. should have pics up tomorrow.

Looking good. Interested to see how it all turns out. I take it you've done this SOG type setup before with open beds? What kind of vegetative growth are you shooting for? 2 weeks or so?

Sub'd and ready.

looking to get away with a one week veg. maybe two, we'll see, and nope never grown in beds before. grown in 5 gal pots and 2 gal pots. grew 36 plants per light before, now it varies on strain, anywhere from 25 to 52 a light.
