Big colas BUT

Ok so this is the story, White Russian was growing great. Then a horrible accident, 2 grow lights fell on and crushed her at 4 weeks into flower. She was broke into and split in half. I duct taped and tied her together. She was back looking good in just a few days. I was shocked. Next she got new growth on top of her colas, you can see the older darker colas become lighter and bigger up top. Young and old bud together as one Now she is at 68 days flowering. The buds are big but leafy. I don't see that nuggetyness I was hoping for. No amber and only a few cloudy trichs. Also the trichs are really small and most of the pistils are white. Only my 2nd grow. Do you think they will fill in? How long can I wait past the 8 week harvest date.

Hang in. She knows what to do. Looks good. This is one time I am interested in your post-injury nutrients. I always go light on them but injured plants can benefit. But water only now. Don't sweat "weeks". Instead read her and not the calendar.

cant really make anything out due to mass of leaves, they looking healthy enough. Just wait it out till pistils look ready and then check trichs.

jesus is that the strain ? they are the leafiest plants ive ever seen. What are the temps? Are you feeding flowering nutes? uninterupted dark period? Why is the bottle dangling in amongst the plant?

Cana A+B all they way with pk13/14 as directed. 2.5 gal superroots air-pot in coco. No light leaks or interrupts. Temps 72-78 And White Russian is not suppose to be leafy. The 2 liter bottle is there just for size comparison and its just one plant.

would've made a nice lst or superscop grow. too bushy. a lot of problems, not the least of which is lack of canopy control. better luck next time

UGH. Leafy nightmare.

We just did a White Russian(serious seeds) and rhino(green house) a few grows ago and neither looked anything like that. We had virtually no fans and below normal amount of smaller true leaves by harvest.

I regret to inform you that those are bunk genetics, and you won't get much if anything out of that.

It also looks like they were given grow ratio nutes through flower.

Na I don't buy it's bunk geneticsr.jpg2012-06-27 00.10.47.jpg same plant 2 weeks into flower. When the 2 lights fell they landed dead on her , one went left the other right splitting her main trunk dead into, then the lights pitched forward breaking the trunk completely in half and they burnt her badly. This plant is almost 70 days into flower and vegged for 10 weeks. She is not ripe at all, pistils are white and trechs are clear so may be she will fill in. I read that a badly damaged plat can benafit from grow ratio nutes even during flower so I did give her a one time full feeding the day of the tragedy. I really hope your wrong about her. She is a testament to the strength of the strain imo. I got the seeds from The Attitude seed bank.

Well, i've never seen a plant growing that many new leafs still up to day 68 of flowering - it looks mad. I think ur right tho when u say its a testament to the strength of the strain as my best guess would be is that's its response to its injury & its builking itself back up again in a sort of re-veg mode. The main thing is that it certainly looks very healthy now within itself & assuming its hormones aren't totally screwed up then i can't see why it wouldn't revert to full flowering again. How soon it will i'm not sure, but one thing to try is maybe give it alone 14/15 hours of dark period for a few days & see if u can force it to start swelling buds again. (i would say try a full 24 hour dark blast, but that might be stress on top of stress.) As i say tho i've never seen this before & certainly haven't got a definite answer i'm sorry to say. I'll certainly watch with interest if u don't mind updating how it goes.

LOL. I named her Betsy after my great aunt who died close to the time I planted her. She was known for her temper. Made me think of her. Any way I never thought of that but you are right she looks pissed. Right before I posted this thread I had extended her dark time by 30 minutes and started giving her plain PH refrigerated water. Happy to say pistils are coming into view as the buds swell. Pistils are still white and trechs are clear. Also I read that if she is widow dominant she could have a 13 week flower:shock: and 10 was common for some widow strains. So that plus the burning, crushing, splitting and breaking may make her have one long ass flower. What about upping her dark time by 15 min a day till I hit 14 and just finish up with 14 dark. Thinking maybe less shocking? I will update with pictures tonight after she wakes up. TY all for your input.

Okay, it's severe shock from having the light fall on them then.

Thank you Dr Cannabis, it is truly an honor to have such a sharp mind comment on my lowly thread. I am awestruck by your incite and diagnosis of my plants issue. For real though, I lmao when I read that.

I tried to get pictures but I cant get it to focus up close and the lights blind the cam but they are definitively swelling, pistils are pushing out past the leaves all over, looks like giant young buds. Ill update at harvest at the latest.
