looking good friend! how potent do you think the wild weed is? like what %THC?
what type of high do you get from it? up high or couchlock?
they're coming along nicely.
how far are you into flowering? about 5 weeks? do the wild ones flower longer or
shorter than sativa/indica?

I have no idea, how potent it is and what high the weed will give. It smells skunky, but the smell for now is really small. Wild one showed first hairs on Christmas morning. She develops buds very slowly, but when I gave her flowering nutrients, she started to speed up. I think she will flower 2,5 or all 3 months.
But this is only an experiment. Wanted to know, how the wild weed grows indoors. Hoped for a pure sativa, but got ruderalis/sativa, so I doubt it`s gonna be big yielder with big THC %.

this guy is quite correct. but use aluminum foil, cfls, even big ones like yours, can't create enough heat to make 'hotspots' like ppl say about foil. 'hotspots' are created by HID lights. maybe make a frame from a clothes hanger. then lay the foil over that to keep it off the surface of the bulb.

Well, my cfl`s get pretty hot - I can`t even touch them, so aluminium foil would not work well, mylar for me is working great.

Sorry for no updates - I have no oportunity to take pictures. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I will make a full update with pics.
Everything is going well. Leaves are turning yellow already, buds have incerased pretty much.
Smell has not increased.

I found a great place, where could be my veg chamber - under my computer desk. Next week gonna order feminised seeds and some cfls, and start a new grow. For flowering I`m gonna use 400 w cooltube.

My unknown bagseed started to smell like lemons. Very nice and strong smell. Leaves are covered with crystals.
When I got back home wild one was droopy - it seems that I should water her every second morning. She is drinking water like crazy.

and thanks for good words. :)

Wild one doesn`t smell strong, but when the bud is touched, it gives typical skunk smell with a little citrus additive. Curing will be necessary.
Bud is not tight with small amount of crystals.
Sad, that it`s a sativa mixed with ruderalis. Yield is gonna be really small. I even remember, when I gathered seeds, I saw one ruderalis male between those huge sativa females. And it looks like it`s another month till I can harvest her.
Next time I`m gonna try to find pure sativa for seeds.

Yeah, and later I`m gonna take some pictures, so stay tuned. :)

Yeah, as I will get some money, I will buy something light reflective.
And I`ll try to figure out something right now, because You`re right - if it would sideways, it could give more light. Didn`t think about that before.
Thanks! :)
Just be careful with the type of light you are using if planning to use it vertically as metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium bulbs will get damaged when used the wrong way.

If my cfl`s are used vertically, they get damaged?
One bulb cracked and didn`t got idea why. Do You think it could be from that it`s used vertically?

Where in the hell am I?

I have experienced that, as well. Honestly, I think that its just a bad bulb every so often. I have yet to read anything saying that CFL's have to be used ANY particular way. (Not saying that there isnt something that says that, but I havent read it n-e where, and I read A LOT!!)

I didn`t see anything mentioned on the package of bulb, how it should be mounted.

I`m thinking about my next grow all the time - first I thought I would go with feminized seeds and do alot of lst, but now to save money and gain more knowledge I`m thinking about my BB regular seeds. I have six and my friend has more, so maybe I will try to grow them under cfl`s, take cuttings and put them into flowering to determine sex. After that leave females and grow them till I can put them in flowering. Before flowering take cuttings, so I don`t have to start again from seed. I`m gonna do that till I have no more room for my plants. And all cuttings will go into flowering with a delay, so I will have harvests every three or four weeks.
I calculated that I could put more plants in my closet without lst and yield more.
That`s what I`m thinking - my thoughts are changing every day. I read more and understand more, what works for me the best.

if the package has the bulb model number you can google it. usually anyone who sells that model will have some tech specs which tell you how it should be mounted. also, the model number will usually give a hint also, ie; m400bud would be a metal halide, 400w, base up/down, meaning a vertical mount, up or down. but sometimes those letters and numbers only mean anything to the manufacturer. i'd google it.
