Hey guys….so i have a 3 foot stainless steel extractor with a stainless steel end cap. My butane tip is metal as well….will this cause static electricity….im concerned to say the least…taking all necessary precautions being outside and etc….if it does explode will it just blow out through the coffee filter because theoretically pressure blows through the weakest point or will it just explode. THANKS IN ADVANCE

It takes a pretty good spark to explode. I'm with twitch, I say your good but good looking out and being cautious!!

I've used Power 5x with a metal tip and my stainless steel turkey baster. Worked out well. I still use Power 5x but no longer use a tube.

ok cool i know they have those little plastic tips that you can punch out on the lid of the canister i might just do that for added precaution, as well as i bought a anti static electricity wrist band for added safety

Think you'll be aight bro...scared enough to use caution that's good -respect the gas for sure but it's not as dangerous as it seems...when the pressure builds up you will hear it whistle back out of your SS tube then just wait a sec to allow it to release but it won't blow up unless there is a spark or open flame to ignite it

You will probably need to use a plastic adapter to get a seal on the stainless to stainless fit.

If you are extracting in cold dry weather, you can attach a ground clip to the can and ground it to the column before shooting.

Most of the cheaper lighters will have o-ring in them that fits nicely over the 5X Power metal tip for a nice seal, other wise your local hardware. I know I've broke a few lighters in a pinch. Excellent tip on the ground clip.
