Best Way to Harvest Outdoors

I'm familiar with the drying/curing process but how does one go about harvesting outdoors keeping strains/plants seperate and not damage the trichs during the long trek back to your drying or trim spot(dont want to trim at spot as it is pretty open from above and would be impossible to lose a chopper should one unlikely come by)?I'm looking mainly for those with experience actually doing so btw. Thanx and rep will be given 4 good responses.

S.Squirell is correct. Since the plants will be green for the most part the trichomes should stay attached and relatively intact inside a common trash bag. In the past I've had a few exposed G. grows that needed to be harvested quickly. Since a certain level of paranoia is a good thing with this type of procedure I tend to go early in the morning for final harvest but do a certain amount of "pre-trimming" well in advance of the last chop. Trim off large fan leaves 1-2 wks prior, then take any top flowers that may be farther along than lower ones, allowing them to mature further. Several small harvests can also be done by compressing smaller trash bags (4-8 gal size) into a back pack, tackle box or cooler for a less obvious trip back home.
