Best way to dry shrooms?

You can also use a food dehydrator, they operate at low enough temps that the psilocybin is safe... plus then you can make jerky later... mmmm...

Silica gel works too, but I get the kind in Tyvek packages cus I'm paranoid about eating silica gel dust. If you don't care though you can get bags of silica gel cheap at a hardware/gardening store like home depot or lowes.

They sell packets in a wide range of sizes (including the ones in Tyvek) and they sell bulk bags of the stuff like you can find at gardening stores. If you buy the bulk kind, you can usually put the used silica in the oven and "regenerate" it by removing its absorbed moisture.

go to an arts and craft store,silica gel is sold in big bags for dried flower arrangements..put shrooms on a cooling rack or screen,suspended over a layer of silica in say,a tupperware/Rubbermaid container..the shrooms dont have to contact the silica,just be in a small closed box with the gel..it sucks the moisture out of anthing in proximity..
physically,heating any substance will degrade it..the choice is yours,young paddawan.

Food dehydrators don't get hot enough to destroy the psilocybin... but yeah the microwave is a dumb fucking idea.
