best solvent to use for hash making?

hexane if you can find it. Naptha works well too but it has a rust inhibitor in it.
99% ISO is the easiest to find but it will extract a lot of chlorophyl

Agree about the ISO. I've only made two small batches, once with blender/water/ice and once with ISO. The ISO is definitely the superior method of the two imo, but it was pretty green.

My bubble bags just arrived today. I got a 5-gallon 5-bag set. Guess what I'll be doing this weekend lol.

You should look into Butane extraction. Thats probably the cleanest easiest way and it yields the most potent ear wax. You have to build this tube contraption but its really worth it.

ISO-Propal sucks don't use it its not even worth it. If you can get your hands on some Ethanol that works really well, just don't evaporate it over a flame or in the stove or it will explode. I had that happen it really sucks.

But yeah. Best solvent is butane, next is Ethanol. Acetone and hexane are really only used if your going to do acid base purification, which is kind of hard if you dont have access to a lab.

If anyone decides to use the butane extraction method (a tube packed tight with cannabis, screens on the bottom end, with a cap that has an injection hole on top to receive the nozzle from cans of butane) DO NOT USE PVC PIPES (there are some internet plans for THC extractors made of PVC).
Butane breaks down PVC which leaches toxins/carcinogens into the hash oil (honey oil).
Not sure if hexane or the other "ane" suffixed chemicals are caustic to PVC, but butane most definitely is.

*Not saying you're going to do it this way, just a heads up to any who are currently using PVC and butane to extract THC, or those who are thinking about it.
*Use steel pipes instead!*

butane will yield superior product thats for sure
i use iso alcohol to make hash 9-10 times
i do a water wash to get rid of as mush chlorophyll as i can
and i get nice dark blond hash, never green

i started doing this after i noticed fatts and such on the outer edges of my evap dish
ive been much happier since doing so
