Best solution to clean a bong/pipe

saw marc emery list his mixture for bong/pipe cleaning.. what works for you guys? i have no idea what to use other than boiling water which really takes too long. i know he used vinegar and another part or two.. just can't remember what it was or what video it was that i saw him talk about this in any help will get +rep from me thanks guys and gals.

soak anything thats glass in isopropanol alcohol for like an hour. after that i put rice in the bong and shake the shit out of it on the stains then rinse it out with water with the rice is all out

Yup thats the best way of doing it. Also if you have a large enough pot boiling a piece in hot water works great too.

i was hoping for a non alcohol alternative.. i know rubbing alcohol works wonders.. just don't like the after/taste/time it takes to clean out.. marc emery's recipie had no alcohol in it :/ o well..

i just soak mine in rubbing alcohol overnight then use a pipe cleaner to get every thing clean. for a bong use a baby bottle brush to clean out the inside. or take a rolled up towel to clean the inside of a bong. alcohol will desolve most of the resin from your bong or pipe. after cleaning just let it evaporate dry befor use. if cleaned proprly it will be like new again(like when you took the first hit off it)

Boil some water. Put your pipe in a plastic sandwich bag it can fit comfortably in.
Fill with enough boiled water to cover your pipe.
Add 1-2 Tbsp of Iso Alcohol
Add 1-2 Tsp Salt

Close the bag, and SHAKE RAPIDLY!
For 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, you decide.
You can empty the bag and do it again as many times as you want,
but it wont need much of anything except a water wash after that first shake down!


Best method I know of.

pour alcohol (highest % possible) in your piece, then pour a good amount of salt in there (you want the salt to rub off the resin stains on the side) and shake like a mother fucker, making sure to get that salt rubbed all over that piece... That brown tinge on the sides above the waterlines will trap that alcohol smell/taste so you need to get rid of it by swishing the salt over it... when you clean a piece you have to get it as clean as possible, any that you leave behind will keep that nasty taste!

You cant get those stains out with JUST alcohol, salt makes ALL the difference!

For a non alchohol product use Simple Green with salt. I usually soak mine in a solution with 20% simple green and add rock salt and swirl it around, rinse with hot water.

The alcohol with salt method works good. The key is to rinse well with as hot of water as you can stand to be sure to not taste it. I've used mouthwash in a jam when i didnt have alcohol, it worked, just not as well.
