Best Sativa For Energy??!!

Hey guys, I'm a noob on here, and I've used the search function multiple times, but, I'm trying to get a better perspective here.

I'm currently growing Afghan Kush Ryder Autoflower, heading into week 6 and looking beautiful, but I've mainly began to learn that I really love a high energy buzz and that Sativas are the best strain for this.

I'm assuming the Afghan Kush will be a little more couch lock high, not a leaf raking, wood chopping energy high (and I have a SHIT LOAD of leaves to rake haha).

I do currently have attitude's Northern Lights x Big Bud on reserve but I know Northern Lights is an Indica.

What would be the best for me to grow for my wants? I hear Jack Herer is a great Sativa, but is it a high energy buzz? I'm a perfectionist so I like to go for the best of the best of everything, and this is all for personal use so if it's a strain that takes a little more time or TLC, I'm ok with that. Quality over quantity!!!!

I grow indoors with soil, 400W MH/HPS

I've found that C99 ( or Cinderella 99 ) is a great daytime, get it done, smoke. Finishes fast ( 45 days in flower ) compared to other sativas.
I grow it for my personal daytime smoke, and have done so for over 2 years.
I too grow indoors, in soil, under 400 watt HPS and have found it to be a good indoor plant. I have averaged around 2.5 to 3 ounces per plant, grown to around 2 ft. in veg stage befor flipping to flower.

Just my opinion, hope it helps

Football I asked this "kind" of question and A guy named Hazey Grapes gave me a massive list of sativas and what general high they gave. here is the link to the thread https://www.rollitup.org/seed-strain-reviews/480842-looking-adjective-please.html. You can read through it and see what you like. Make sure to also do some of your own research on the strains suggested as not every smoke is the same. Randm I take it you grow from clones? either way what was the brand of seed you grew from or grow from? I'm 5 days into growing some C99 right now and i'm pretty excited about it.

Thanks for the feedback! I've seen C99 posted about on other threads, nice to see a consistent positive review on a particular strain.

I'm hoping to buy some seeds soon, just trying to narrow down to a few select strains.

Holy shit, that's a TREMENDOUS help!! Wish he had posted that in my thread lol

yeah.. i'd hardly expect ANYTHING with kush in it's name to exactly be "energetic".

if you're looking for fast strains, C99 is famous for it's racy energy, though i've seen some reports on mosca phenos that can be stony and one grower has phenos that are downright skunky. i've only grown joey weed C99 & thought it's buzz was a lot like kali mist, but maybe not quite so energetic.

if you want guaranteed energy, just TRY sitting still on kali mist! i guess it's so speedy because it takes 17 weeks to get to harvest & wants to make up for lost time. i loved it when i was gifted a gram of original KM. it tasted just like smoking crushed red pepper. the 2.0 version only tastes spicy with some fruity going on, but the report i just read recently sounds like the buzz is still intact.

i was kind of disappointed that i couldn't kick back & trip out on tunes like i used to on columbian gold as the buzz is just too racy to be able to relax & concentrate and isn't really trippy, but more clear headed. instead of relaxing, i ended up cleaning my apartment including my fishtanks which i never liked doing all the while grinning from ear to ear and probably humming don't worry, be happy at some point. the buzz was kind of like shrooms with 10 cups of coffee, but no jitters. you want energy, you want kali mist. C99 is way more practical though and cheaper at that.

afghan kush is going to be knock you on your ass stony as both are pure indicas. NL#5 & big bud are both stony too.

even jack herer can be stony & skunky from what i've read, but not as much as it's twin sibling super silver haze which used NL#5 as the mother instead of in the father. if you're out to try a jack herer, i've seen plenty of great feedback on sannies' & sensi seeds' versions of that along with TGA subcools' trippy jack the ripper which finishes in just 9 weeks. i've also just read a review of jack's cleaner x querkle that desribes it's buzz as speedy & euphoric, so i bet jack's cleaner 2 (cleaner x JTR) is going to be pretty energetic too as querkle is more of a mid or indica than JTR>

my favorite strain that i've tried 1st hand, so far, is high quality seeds' haze x skunk. i wouldn't exactly call it's buzz racy & it does have just a little bit of lead eye left over from the skunk #1, but it's DEFINITELY motivational! the buzz is medium strength trippy with nice amounts of creativity and euphoria, but it's so motivational that it got me to quit drinking a 6 pack of 16 ounce beers a night cold turkey AND started me on an unplanned diet by just ignoring my hunger pangs and sticking to whatever i was doing that was more fun & keeping busy. i already loved the buzz the 1st time i blazed it, but made it my favorite once i realized that i lost something like 5 pounds in just a couple weeks of wake & baking on it and then lost even more weight by switching to an all carbs diet.

i love kali mist, but i like haze skunk even more because you CAN sit down on it & it's trippier buzz makes music & movies funner than clearheaded kali m and like any good sativa, at the very worst doesn't interfere with activities at all and even encourages them. it's just a better 24/7 buzz to me where kali mist is ONLY for nonstop activity.

if you want a nicely balanced buzz that's energy neutral, mandala's 8 miles high is super fun. it's buzz is mellower than haze skunk, but there's no stone or raciness in it, but plenty of happy playful motivation that loves music & dancing with less of the "don't smoke too much or it'll bit you on the ass!" edge of haze skunk.

really, almost ANY sativa is going to give you what you want with different degrees of clearheadedness, raciness & trippiness. like me, you're probably not looking as much for "the speediest sativa" as looking to stay the fuck as far away from couchlock as possible which MOST mids have and pretty much all indicas do too. even 75% sativa skunk #1 is too stoney for my tastes, but better than ANY crap i've bought on the street since the mid 80s in NY.

if you want to blaze something you can shovel shit all day happily on, kali mist is your best bet followed by C99, but if you want something that you can also relax on when that's what you want to do, haze skunk & 8 miles high will make you plenty happy and you should like TGA's gear too.

If you want energy and motivation pick a real true pure sativa rather than the sativa dominant sativa-indica crosses that most people call sativas and that have mainly been suggested.

Most so-called sativas of today are nothing more than sativa dominant sativa-indica hybrids and there is a real difference between even the best of them and a quality real true 100% sativa.

I typically take my ladies as they cloud up...very few clear and even less amber just so I can get the heady effect outta most....as BT stated, so many hybrids now are so hybrid-ed out of their norm.....harvesting timing CAN change and enhance results... I treat a malady that responds best to sativas so I've kinda learned how to maximize that effect when possible....C99 is well known for medicinal properties...good stuff too...

what? i thought everything i say is a lie!

well... that's what everyone SAYS anyways... even when they contradict themselves.

as to best C99, according to the mosca thread, it looks like they're on top of things with a LOT of controversy surrounding dr greenthumb's version. it's also looking like bodhi is a legit breeder from response i've seen to his gear and that his A11 geniuses are to be trusted too. i'll try to test BOTH of those next fall as one of the two are likely to be permanent fixtures in my grows for breeding some speedy flowering into sativa doms without stinking or stoning them out. i really like JWs grapey C99s though even if it isn't trippy and leans towards a little too energetic.

You can fine tune by harvesting at different times, as in slightly earlier or slightly later, but you cannot totally alter something. You cannot fully remove an indica influence and you cannot fully remove a sativa influence. Because of a strains genetics some will always remain, but you can lessen it to a degree, but only to a degree before you end up throwing away some or much of what is important.

The best thing to do is find and then grow a strain or strains that will give you precisely what you want and or need when harvested at it's optimal harvest time rather than to try to bend a strains genetic composition according to someone's likes and dislikes by harvesting earlier or later.

The one knock on the original Brothers Grimm Cinderella 99 (C99) was that it was to racy for some people. The high was described as being clear, energetic & devastatingly psychoactive. More so than some people could deal with. What followed from others was tamer, it was domesticated. That doesn't mean it was/is weak. It only means that none today is like the original Mr. Toad's Wild Ride that was to much for some people.

see, i was never able to get anyone to say anything about C99 psychoactivity years ago and found it really wasn't there in joey weed's C99 unless you count raciness & euphoria as psychoactivity. i always think of that in terms of heightening of senses to flat out trippy visuals.

i don't think JWs was "too racy" as i didn't end up cleaning house on it like i did kali mist, but it definitely wasn't stoney either. the general consensus i got was that C99 was grimm's racy strain (though paranoia was mentioned a lot... i never got that off JW's) and apollo 11 was the trippy one. it and super silver haze were what everyone tried to steer me to in my search for "indoor thai" but i just didn't want to hear anything about couchlock. considering how energetic cindy is, i'm inclined to think apollo is more energy neutral than stoney as i'd call 8 miles high a "mellow" buzz, but totally fun.

whatever the specifics of any grimm knockoffs are, it's still nice to be able to get superior buzzes like that in less time than skunk #1 which isn't a favorite of mine by any stretch. they're breeding gold in my book.

Hazey grapes, you are the MAN!!! That was everything I was looking for! It sounds like for my next grow I'll grow a C99 and a Kali Mist...or maybe just Kali Mist. I like the high energy, I hate being couch locked.

Hey BT,
Can you suggest a pure Sativa (and where to get it) that isnt a bitch to grow and doesnt take forever but still maintains the Sativa buzz. Or am i asking for too much.lol.
