Howdy Y'all,

I want to keep this post open ended to the entire cannabis industry… Whether it be places that have good dispensaries and what not to just growing in general.

In most of the states in the US that you can legally grow, it is only for personal use or for your patients if you are caregiver… Now what if you want to make living in the Cannabis Industry? Where is the best places to go that you can live in peace?

Say you are willing to buy a house somewhere and build your own grow… Where is the best/easiest places to do it? Is there anywhere you can actually move to and legally get a real job at a grow without knowing someone?

Any and all thoughts regarding profitability and anything else is greatly appreciated as well! :D

Hell no! I'm pretty sure they execute people for that shit, lol maybe I'm wrong but if I remember correctly they do.
I think the weed industry is just about finished. Legalization is coming fast and hard, I'd say with in the next 5-10 years it will be. The market is going to move to 'bar/cafe' type thing. I'm guessing a lot of places like micro brewery's will be popping up offering their product on the same menu you order your drink's and food from. Watch there will be mass produced name brand shit like those Marlboro gold's or whatever there supposed to have ready to ship out.

Yea, China is probably not a good place would be my guess lol. I can see it going that way. I don't think there will be as much of the name brand stuff as you see in other industries though… We'll see..

There are a lot of med states, but some are still fairly new and pretty restrictive. There are people doing stuff all over but as far as legal/quasi legal places that are heavily populated with a booming cannabis industry it is Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Denver, Seattle and Detroit. As far as job opportunities and connections those are the big ones.

Canada has a lot going on as well for cannabis, but not as familiar with whats happening there

All those states you mentioned are in Med states except Denver, where it's legal for recreational use. What parts of the industry are booming in those areas? Are there any opportunities for small time growers without a lot of capital? That's what scares me about Colorado and Washington… Well I'm not that familiar with those places, which is why I made this post, but from what it seem they are taxing the crap out of it to the point where there's no opportunity for small guys to actually make money at it. If you want a small time grow, your still not allowed to sell it are you? Don't you have to have a dispensary in order to grow & sell in Colorado?

Can't sell unless you're a dispensary in Colorado, so you will have to work for chump change or black market. If you're not big with cash, this industry is not for you. Big money has taken over.

Care to elaborate on how big money has taken over? If the laws where different in Colorado and it were less regulated I would imagine smaller people could get in… Just curious as to your thoughts on why you feel that the rest of the states that legalize will be the same? Thanks.

Compliance is expensive. Look at proposed regulations for Nevada and Illinois. Illinois requires a $2.275 million wallet check.

My company supports commercial operations in multiple states. We get a lot of inquiries from those thinking 50 grand would get them into this business. Just not happening.

Now that wallstreet money is starting to flow into this industry, states are on a money grab. Going to kill the litle guys with over regulation and increasing layers of taxation.
