Best place for a grower to live?

Title pretty much sums it up. Where is the best place for someone to live if they want to legally cultivate?

I really want to relocate but need to find the best place to move to where I can legally cultivate my own meds. I've been looking into Oregon but would like to hear some input from fellow growers.

Hey buddy, one thing to consider about growing in a legal state is where you are situated in relation to areas where kids often congregate...so keep well clear of schools, churches, playgrounds etc or you could get hassled even if everything's above board. Good luck

Thanks for the response. Ideally any home I got would be out in the countryside while still within a reasonable driving distance to a city. Hopefully I wouldn't have to worry about those hassles.

I should mention I'm an indoor grower, my grows are kept out of sight.

choose a section of the country where you think it will agree with ALL aspects of your life, not just by cannabis laws, imo. if you love sunshine, the Pacific Northwest is a bad choice. if you love it green, AZ, and even Socal, may not be the best choice.

My reasons for moving are not cannabis related but I would like to live somewhere where I can have some sort of peace of mind when I grow. Thanks.

If you're growing indoors out in the country then I think you can choose anywhere you want really...otherwise if complete ease of mind is what you need then welcome to Canada buddy :) anyway I hear Cali in the US is pretty lenient with mary j.

I read that Canada is making it so patients have to go through big business for their meds and the companies that are supplying it, like Tweed, can't grow to save their lives (I've seen the horror stories and pics of the junk they sell). Am I misinformed, can you still grow your own in Canada? Is it hard to get Canadian citizenship or grow rights? I've only visited Canada and thought it was absolutely gorgeous.

Lol yea I can grow anywhere with the way I grow, I'm just looking for some peace of mind, if I wasn't I'd move to Texas and make bank off all those kids smoking on Mexi brick!

That sounds great as the climate change wouldnt be too dramatic. I've always been lead to believe the cost of living in Cali is high. Redding looks nice and there are employment opportunities there that I qualify for.

agreed redding is a nice place as long as you dont live in a trailer park (lots of tweekers in the mountains lol) nor cal can be expensive if you live in the bay or something but central and the more mountainous north are not too bad as far as cost of living is concerned and everybody grows up in redding/siskyou area

LOL...apologies for the impression I gave but im not in Canada so I can't say, I just have this notion that its far more easy going towards weed than the US. In any case it sounds like your in an interesting predicament, why limit yourself to the US when the world can be your oyster?...I hear Uruguay's pretty cool with marijuana

I'm from Chicago originally, growing there was stress city...I've lived in Washington and California. Im in southern California at the moment and its going off as far as home cultivation and dispensing your medicine however you want with a $20-30 piece of paper:) everyone is growing here...Cheap equipment (and meds) all over Craigslist or local S.D. Hydro has like 4 locations with prices lower than any Internet retailers. Their really competitive have everything you need and more making life easy. Running there today to get some ingredients for tea's. They give out free active worm tea every day w/no purchase. In S.D. county each person can have 24 plants indoor or out. If you have a yard you just need a 6 foot fence or greenhouse to legally grow. With so many Grey areas, if your not on a cartel level, you can grow all the medicine you want...it's great (for now). With laws changing were having fun openly swapping techniques/genetics/equipment/meds. It's allowed a whole community of intelligent compassionate people to come out of the closet (pun intended) and be ourselves showing and sharing our passion. Good luck and have fun. I love moving around, maby Washington again for me. once Illinois comes around I'll go back to my hometown of Chicago and go bonkers overgrow the city:) I posted a pic of the ad's in the local paper (several pages).20140629_014724.jpg20140629_014955.jpg
