There are whole threads devoted to debating Fox Farms Ocean Forest vs Happy Frog soils, and the posters get downright combative and insulting. I have no complaints about Happy Frog. Indoors, I've used a bunch of different soilless mixes, and my favorite is Basement Mix, made by royal gold. It's a coco based mix suitable for flooding, which I'm doing to great success, so far. If I couldn't get that, I'd use straight coco.
I think the very bestest mix is your own custom mix. I like a little dirt, mostly coco, and the usual perlite, vermiculite, etc. Best of both worlds kinda thing. I know it's not always practical to mix your own, I'm just sayin.
