Best lenses available atm?

Hello,

I've been doing some research on lenses. Have read all kinds of topics here on riu and other boards.

I am planning on running vero 29 gen 7 version c at around 120w on passive pin fin sinks.

I have seen the khatod ultra clear silicone v type lens, silicone lens from kingbrite and the guy from spectrolight (also active on riu) talking about asymmetrical glass lenses with even light distribution.

What is the best (90 degree) lens solution atm for harder driven leds?

Wouldn't the type VS be good for people with square tents? Or does that lens not fit to our applications
Type VS is not available in 90 degree. Khatod has VS with 120 only. 120 spreads too fast. It is available on Digikey if you want to try. Part number PL1845SR

@alesh Khatod is also IP rated. But they don't go into details. Should be 65 or 67. They sell lens and lens holder separately.
Ledil Stella looks like it would have IP but could not find any details.
VSM looks new. CdI has 1 pcs in stock

Stella lens have a position where you can push a pin to make a small hole for outgassing. Does not change IP rating.

Cob holder and routing wires is an issue with small lenses. Vero 18 and 29 with its built in slim holder is great for silicone lens.

How much loss do you get from the silicone based lenses? I know there's about 10% from the 90 degree white ones.

The Stella data indicates 95% eff, so only 5% losses, thats a very good number as I nominally work on 10% loss on optics, the data can be a little confusing using the term Asymmetric seems contrary to a square beam, but it would seem they use that description as the beam may not be completely square but these should work better in tents than round beams in terms of shadowing from COB to COB would just need some attention to layout. Im not sure why the Dialux simulation in the marketing shows round beams? The Frame refers just to the holder these come with the optic when you buy it

IP67 is mentioned in the release PDF I linked. Digikey has 10 of them actually. Don't you buy them all lol.

I like Veros because of this. On the other hand I'm fine with soldering so ie Citizen or Luminus COBs are as good. Anyway, the space for COB (and holder if needed) is 52mm diameter and 3.7mm height which probably rules out 3590 with any holder I know of (incl. Bender and Wirth one).

I think that in Ledil terms anything that isn't circular is asymmetric.

Still wondering about two things
Do I need to order the frame/holder (F13322 STELLA-FRAME) separately? If so, where is it available? edit: @welight actually answered this a few posts above.
How does performance change with the size of LES.

optics design is physics, width, height, shape all play significantly with respect to beam outcomes, 13mm LES will have completely different outcome to 32mm LES Example if I run a narrow beam optic over Cree XPG I might get 15-20 degree, I use Cree XPC I might get 5 Degree, difference the XPC Led die is half the size

That's what I'm worried about. I have no idea how the beam pattern would look like with a large LES.

Anyway I think this square pattern would be ideal for ideal for small fixtures with multiple tightly spaced COBs. Such a fixture - IMO - would give us a nice even coverage in a square tent.

So if I understand this correctly the distribution of the ledil lens is a square pattern (VI) type? Quite confusing because they show pictures which are in circular pattern..

They used the Vero18 in the pdf file, les of vero 29 is bigger. Would the beam be tighter or wider with larger les?
