Dude let me know!!

I've emailed them twice now, asking for some more details on the setup: heatsinks, drivers, driven @, etc etc, including their Testimonial Program.

Notta... kindve getting irritated that their service isn't quite up to par.
Will do ill be starting a thread for sure, when i emailed them I didn't ask about parts so maybe they are just hesitant to give out certain info?? idk I just copy pasted the email on there site from the contact us area and they got back pretty fast.

I really like that new procryon 300w led but their are some issues maybe they will fix before the final product/ wait it is for sale right??

420 watts full draw(true???) being pushed through 15x6x4 inch chassis is insane and the drivers are internal!!!! that heatsink needs to be about 12 inches high lol...it's actively cooled by one fan but still crazy to me..........

What do you think guod???? your the expert...

I'm a big fan of high quality leds and it has the best.......but WAY TOO much 660nm, and no 630 at all IDK but this seems to heavy on deep red to me

Software is cool and your gonna see allot of this feature on the new panels this year............Yeah scotch we talked about this before how the reef community has had this for years now on their panels...........also don't like that it maxes out at 80 days of scheduling/then what???? anyone know??

Good points PSUAGRO, should've sent some of those in the email... though I am thinking since they are still in "beta testing" on the site, you're right: they may not be comfortable stating any definitive statements before it's all said and done.

it lets you schedule for 8 weeks, i dont think 80 days. thats good if you run 8 week strains.
yes it is eight Weeks not eighty days/yikes that's short--don't they know were growing mj with these twelve hundred dollar panels; lol I know of zero orchid/African violet growers that would spend that coin for their blooms............eight week mj strains??.....

yeah your probably right and it's not for sale yet...... just giving out beta panels for six hundred?? hope you can get your money back though:)

I feel like as far as spectrum goes, it could possibly be a bit wider, but maybe thats where the warm white cree's come in? idk too much about led spectrums to the "T" but it seems that warm white would fill in the gaps..it also seems a bit like a lumigrow with the adjustable dials and such, either i have a few other leds to toss in to help with diff spectrums if it falls short lol i hope it doesn't tho

84 OSRAM 660nm high power LEDs
1000mA max: Vf=2.6V >> 2.6W x 84 =218W

24 CREE XT-E 450nm high power LEDs
1500 max; Vf=3.4V >> 5.1W x 24 = 122W

12 CREE XT-E Warm White high power LEDs
1500mA max; Vf=3.4V >> 5.1W x 12 = 61W

adding up the watts:
400W at max. specification
plus 20W for drivers, fan, etc

from the procyon site:
420W maximum power consumption
yup, procyon don´t tell us sh!t

Proudly Made in the USA!
----------------------------

btw. at more realistic 700mA for the leds we get 220W

I found this light (procyon) a few months back... I liked the build, but that's about it.

Now that I look at it, I don't like it even more. It could probably double as a heater.. lol.

Cheers, friends. And let's go Ravens!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: If you look at their procyon 100 test results, they grew some super awesome greens.

Hi NDM1952,

I didn't see HydroGrow's 360W unit, but the dollar-per-watt ($6.17) figure seems kind of high, especially for larger grow lights, which should cost much less due to economy of scale (more LEDs purchased = less cost per watt). Coverage is a function of simple trigonometry - with 90 degree lenses, mounted at 24", the coverage area should be 4' a diameter, PLUS the width of the light itself. Yield (harvest) is a function of delivered and usable photons. Almost all plants use photons in the Chlorophyll A and B absorption freqs, as well as the beta Carotene (yellows) range, and several protein accessory pigments that assist greatly in the Chlorophyll processes. A lot of these frequencies are missing in the spectrum charts I see on the "big boy's" web sites.

As for being made in China, I agree that one needs to be careful, but I also know that almost all LED grow lights have roots in China. However, there are several great manufacturers in China and if the LEDs are from top-notch companies and engineering and QC is done by the American (or insert your preferred country here) company and a good, solid warranty is offered, the risk is minimal. A sad state of affairs in the USA is that manufacture of many items we take for granted would not be affordable if we didn't get it from offshore. Also, don't be fooled about what is and what isn't made in the USA. Look and see if any of these seem familiar (then compare them to the lights you are reviewing):

You want to see hundreds more? Go to alibaba.com and search on "LED Grow Lights".

I am a fan of full spectrum grow lights, as you might tell from the first paragraph. I know that Black Dog (http://www.blackdogled.com/) and Super Grow LED (http://www.supergrowled.com/) put out full spectrum lighting. Super Grow deals in smaller units than Black Dog, but I know Super Grow has a 225W model ready for release, using the same spectrum as their smaller units. The purchase price is under $3/W for either manufacturer. Two of these larger units exceeds the total photon delivery of the units you are considering, at about 2/3 the price of your aforementioned deal for your entire grow. It would be worth it to give either manufacturer a call and ask them to cut you a deal on such a large order. I'm sure you could find a use for the money you would save.

Just my nickel's worth!

Your probably correct(I wouldn't doubt you ever:P)...so we are looking at $1300 for a 220-240watt panel, FUCK!!! makes sense as they charge 600 for the 100w outdated version........

Well they did tell me that it's assembled by an endangered species of monkey===hence the price:wall:

thanks for the math guod.....your are evil!!

So that Ebay seller drives the diodes at a true 3w each.....wow...! i dont think they will last long....

i bought a few of them lol, why what's wrong? I love them.... and I got a better price then that...
those lights look just like Apollos. or like 2 apollo 8s stuck together. $1300 is twice the price that they are worth, if they are indeed remade Apollo series lights

There are 336 3w pieces ate 560w. I was originally looking for the hydro grow hoping to find them cheaper on ebay. Seller says they are the exact same from the same manufacturer just without the green spectrum. I wanted the green though but really, Im happy with them., I saw the Apollo also Slick but it wasn't much cheaper and they only had the small one.

each Apollo 8 is 280watts. so this is the same wattage at the very least. $650 after shipping and duty to Canada for what you have there. except its in two separate units.

They are Apollo knock offs or maybe the other way around according to an Ebay complaint by another maker.

$ does crazy things to people and in china it's the new wild west.

See this ebay listing..many of these on Ebay.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEXT-GEN-560W-LED-GROW-LIGHTS-3W-HIGH-OUTPUT-LEDS-1000W-MH-HPS-REPLACEMENT-/221186148708?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid=222002&algo=SIC.FIT&ao=1&asc=11&meid=5377020448725585044&pid=100011&prg=1005&rk=1&sd=221183247732&

Now look at the Apollo side by side with knock off. Pictures to show you the difference (scroll down) between them.
http://singledgrowlight.blog.com/2012/02/13/the-differentiation-between-the-apollo-led-grow-light-and-the-penetrator-x-series-led-grow-light/

There are other legit LED sellers out there other than cidly but this one is clearly a knock off of the apollo.

IP's should be checked here and at other forums to weed out the shills who post claiming the holy grail with their crapy garbage knock offs. Even legit companies who do shilling on the forums should be weeded ( no pun intended :) )out or pay to advertize.
