Best LED option..

Hello there and sorry if this is a similar to other posts though i have a small grow currently vegging under cfls and i have a 300w vyparaspectre for flowering in a 48x24x60" grow tent. On my first grow i had two plants in the tent and they seemed to grow okay (though my yield was miserable). That being said im growing using soil and personally feel i need 1-2 more 300ish watt leds. But i want to get alternate opinions as well as reccomendations for which lights would be best! Thanks in advance!

I’d use 315 cmh for your space but if you want to stick with led spend the money and come away from the Christmas’s tree lights go for cobs or quantum board

Stick with a good led especially in that sized tent. Heat will be your biggest issue and you’ll want as low a profile as possible to take full advantage of your 60”. As suggested quantum boards will probably be your best bet. 300w true watts of led should be more than enough for that space. I was told 3 qb for my 2x4x5 tent.

Thank everyone so far for the info. I am reading up more on cobs and quantum boards which I have little knowledge of. @superfreak86 I'll be looking into all of those and @Chef420 I actually have the tents exhaust connected to an ac which regulates about 72-78 during the day and then shuts off at night so I'm really not too worried about heat just want to get the best yield/bud I can cause I harvested my first two plants and barely pulled 2.5 oz...part of that was my nutrients were lacking significantly but ideally I want to have 4-6 plants flowering in my tent at a time if I can fit it.

I have grown with all types of light and now use cobs and quantum boards the are fantastic light if you have experience with them. If not you can really mess things up if your not worried about heat and want consistent quality you will pull best figures and quality out of 315cdm light using Philips bulb.

If heights an issue, stick with QB's or a strip build. Very low profile and passive cooling makes for an easy build that fits your space.
Yes being only 60" accounting for 14 inch tall potters it definitely makes height a concern! I appreciate the feedback!

How much will that change the overall operation of my grow? Other than ducting and an actual exhaust fan will I need anything other than a light? Sorry if i sound dumb like I said this is the end of my first grow.

Also the reason why I'm looking for more LEDs or an alternative is just so I can get more even coverage. I know that my light will "do the job" but I want to get

Run with 315 cdm you will get great result especially if your new if you go down the led route you will encounter many problems that will cost you yeild if I were you I’d learn your craft with cdm then get few grows under your belt and upgrade just my 2p worth tho

I still feel that I'll have an issue with even coverage would it bepossible to run 2 315's? Or is my best bet just rotating my plants around the grow room to allow even coverage?

You will be surprised of the coverage in that space you should be looking to pull 14zips regularly with that light the spectrum is awesome

Really? That's much better! And if I did change my light would I need anything additional aside from the light itself? Or should it be plug and play with my current set up @josh5794
