Best height to scrog and question about changing timer back to 18/6

I am vegging 6plants right now, I wanted to flip the switch to 12/12 to sex. I might just go 12/12 to harvest if nugs dry up if I switch back to 18/6 or 24/0.
Question is: If nugs are 4weeks into a 10week flowering period and I switch back to 18/6 will they dry up? Since im weaving out the males Ill throw a couple of seedlings in there too. Same Q about seedlings on 12/12, will they keep growing if they have small nugs forming on them?

Also whats the best height to do a scrog? Do I want it closer to the ground or is more room for airation good?

the height for a scrog depends on what light you are using, for example, a 400w lamp have in mind that the tops of the buds should be at 40-35 centimetres from the lamp, and for a 600 watts lamp should me more like 60cm. It is also important to have air circulating on the bottom, but cropping the lower brunches wich produces little becouse it is far away from the lamp, should od the trick.
i cant recomend you to sex the plants changeing the fotoperiod, this would make the plants to revegetate and it looses quality.
if you want to revegetate you should harvest the buds (& some brunches) and do a transplant (maby a root pruning) with a lot of worm humus for nitrogen.
cheers

Hmm, alright cool. So then I should switch back to 18/6 as soon as I see a hairs. or I might just clone and keep them in a different room.

if your 4 weeks in u wont even have propper nugs , they will be light n fluffy and most likely not even a solid nug.switching back will just stop the plant flowering and turn it back to growing.your nugs wont dry up because u will not have nugs to begin with a 4 weeks into flower...maybe at 6 weeks u might have some fluffy nugs.

So then your saying sexing and turning the lights back on to 18/6 or 24/0 won't effect the yeild any?

i wouldnt do that the plants already show their preflowers (sex) in 18/6 or 24/0 if you have patience, there´s no need to do that man. revegetating decreases the quality of the product.

Thank you, thing is Im trying to squeeze as many females under my light as possible. Cut out all the males. I guess Ill just keep topping and FIMing to keep the sizes down. Waiting is my favorite game, makes the product more memorable.
