What's the best filter/fan for micro grows?
Is diy with some PC fans and activated carbon the way to go or is there something designed for the small grow spaces?

If diy what's the best ways of doing it?

If you want to go full fringe improv...

get four neodymium magnets, face them into the center of a computer fan and it will spin on certain models,]

then get carbon filter pads for fishtanks and make a box with separated layers out of a cardboard box and place one of these fans at each end.

Use and intake and outtake, enjoy :P

I HERD IT FROM ALIUMSZZZZ :3

I use 6in max fan and 400cfm phresh. Blackops too. I think u could use a small hydrofarm booster w/ small cfm filter.

That's pretty big for a small space though. Needs to all be inside the cab aswell

Any of the premade filters will be too big for that cabinet.
You will be better off making your own and even then with it plus your fans your not leaving yourself much room.

I'm working on a bigger cab ATM but still needs something. Ill have to look at some of the smaller diy options with PC fans

phresh inline filter and nothing has to be in the growarea. smallest I see is 6x16in but get a reducer to a 4in low cfm fan and your good to go!

That looks really good, I'll look into that kind of thing.
The new one in working on would be big enough to do this type of thing

Pc fans in that small build little light traps, and use PVC pipe after the fan, some carbon and cover the end with panty hose

A good way for you at smaller size is some Carbon filter pads available cheaply from china, build a box filter with stages of that using computer fans at either end, is good low wattage solution.

You can also dust the carbon filters exhausting with Zeolite powder dust which is also radiological filtration to some still useful extent as with smells.

If you combine a negative ion generator located near the intake of the grow area, this vitalises the plants vigorously and replenishes fresh air during the night cycle which is significantly boosted, with sufficient levels producing node swelling, and much thicker branches and stems.

Neg Ions also remove smell really well, they also boost electrical hardware life, but use less so Ozone anions as they sortof 'disinfect' thc from the plants during flowering but really wipe out fungus' and such so are super useful as something for that at low levels atmospherically.

The other thing with neg ions is they are REALLY energy efficient with things such as carbon brushes for anions and metallic/ ceramic plates.

I ENCOURAGE YOU ALL TO USE NEG IONS AND SMALL AMOUNTS OF OZONE FROM YOUR GROWS TO BOOST GROWTH, CUT DOWN ON SMELL, AND EXTEND HARDWARE LIFE

ALSO;

I like the size of the area you are using, you can be super efficient on growth.

I suggest you use a COB led system; there is available unto yourself fish-eye type lenses from china, similar to what you see here:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Cob-Tech-new-led-grow-lighting-system-for-plants-100W-full/2055761689.html?s=p

I furthermore suggest you use cheap LED lighting strips also available from the Asian online market vendors. Often these are available in straight blue and red, and are best used around the interior of smaller grow spaces.

Do feel free to utilise these techniques. I insist that you do.
