best driver for 2xCXB3590 36v

Hi guys,

I am planning to use a pair of cxb3590 36v (3500k CD bin - already have them ) for a micro grow. I would like to run them @700mA at least for this trial micro grow. Can you please recommend any driver? Either one driver for both cxbs or one driver for each.

In future I might use them in a bigger grow room so dimmable to higher mA can be the case in order to be re-usable. Otherwise when the time comes I might just replace the drivers (depending on the cost that might be no problem).

Can you please advice?Thanks.

Use an hlg60h-c700b. Or better yet, hlg120h-c1400b & just use the dimming function to your liking.

The biggest bang for your buck though would be an hlg240h-c2100b. :)

Thanks for the replys, it's 50x40 and height is 85cm. It's easier for me to find the hlg120h-c1400a than the b (located in europe and b seems to be out of stock where i searched..).

Well that's fine too. You can dim from 700-1400ma so you'll stay in the range you wanted. B just gives you 0-100% (10% minimum is safer using a 10K resistor in line.)
Pulling the rubber plug out (and probably keeping track it) and having to use a screw driver to dim would be annoying. Not to mention the possibility of stripping the phillips head on a screw down in that hole is I think more than possible over years of use. It's just nice to have a remote potentiometer with a knob or slider whatever you use, its just so much more covenient.20160212_220215.jpg

nice i also think external dimming is better. thanks guys. With elg-100-c1400b I should get better driver efficiency (full drive current) with 2 cxbs am I correct?
Output voltage 35...72V DC .

cxb (36volt version) @ 1,4a need around 34,89volt (temperature 50C), but the driver efficency should be still high.
You can google: "elg-100-c1400 test report" then you can check all the datas of the driver at the pdf, like EFFICIENCY vs LOAD graph

I mean compare to hlg120h-c1400b which has Output voltage 54...108V DC .

I have two cxa3590 5000k, 36v running on individual drivers at 50w each, right where you are looking for. http://www.ebay.com/itm/10W-20W-30W-50W-100W-Waterproof-High-Power-DC-LED-Driver-For-LED-Chip-50-60HZ/151510253101?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIC.MBE&ao=1&asc=35695&meid=fd63915fa99343f78af83f7f0909d257&pid=100005&rk=3&rkt=6&sd=261889756872 they came recommended b y a very knowledgeable individual SupraSPL they work great and there is another vendor with dimmable 50w to 25 w or else just get a 300mA version. I am using a coupe of those to power a couple of cxa3590 3500k, 36v work real nice, as well. . peace

the elg-150-2100 is literally the same as the 240-2100 but perfect for 2 @36v running the same wattage but the elg is around $30.00
