Fukn awesome dude ! Your plants look great and wicked idea with the jugs. If I was doing a DWC (again) I would add a bucket at the end of the line and have them all connected. The last bucket , ideally, would be much larger than the others and I would ADD a drip system, with the "new jug at the end of the line" being the rez. This way they are all using the same water, plus you could keep the "rez" outside the grow room, keeping it cooler and having more water to act as a buffer. Think about that and let me know what you think. Also, when you trim roots, trim them in a maintenance way. Trim only 1 fifth of the root mass at a time. If the roots are 12" long, trom off 3" max, out of 1 fifth of the whole root mass. And last but not least, adding 3ml per gallon of H2O2 would do wonders for the root rot. When lights come on everyday, add the H2O2 and be religous about it, it'll do wonders for the roots and plants in general. GL

Oy! The originator of the idea himself, my hat goes off to you my friend. When reading your thread on bubbleponics and the use of coolers I kicked myself for not reading it before I ran drain and feed lines for buckets. But now I can utilize same the idea without trashing my work. Much love and luck to you in the days that follow.

Well Thank you, thankyouverymuch,,,, my Elvis impersonation........

We've been growing this plant for over 40 years. The materials and equipment we have today is unbelievable
compared to what we had then. Yep, bb57 & MVF are a couple of ol' stinkers. Time on our hands.
And vivid imaginations.

and a couple of sheds full of failed crap mvf won't sell or throw.

And we ain't done yet. Some wild sh*t coming this winter.

Working on the Uber Lab. Last one. Pulling all the plugs and
a budget I won't be able to break. Two stories. Veg, Flower and Experimental Labs all under the same roof.

And we're hobbyists with a love for the plant.
This is the Flower Lab. Separate Veg Lab for all the bean popping, moms and cuts.

Thanks and remember, If we can do it,,,,,,,,

I use tap.

Sometimes I add R/O.

Let the tap settle for 12 hours or run it right in and leave an opening to degass, make little difference
as long as you know your ph.

I've had my water tested. I know what's in it. I add basic minerals the plants need. 1 Veg Nute, 1 for Blossom.

Hey boomer I just bought a 110 liter , 112Watt Air Pump .. Will that be more than sufficient for my DWC reservoir. I cant find the 120 igloos anywhere at the Wal-Farts here but I can find 100 qt just fine. I also bought 12 6'' Air Stones? I am going to build my reservoir tonight and start testing water temps.

Atta way, whoo, whoo. whoo

Use the 100 for one plant and you'll be fine.

I'm setting up the left side 110L later today.

Bubbles baby, bubbles and I don't mean the Trailer Park kind of Bubbles.

Yer gonna rock em out.

I want to do 4 plants in the 100 qt cooler, should I buy one more air pump same size for the other side?? The air pump came with a 12 outlet adapter .. Just let me know Boomer .. " We speak your name.."

Slow down.

The roots need room. Lot's of room. 2 plants per 120qt cooler is pushing it.

Buy another cooler. It's less costly than another pump.

I run One Plant per cooler for a very good reason.
When your roots fill that 120 up they expand and need the room.
Big roots, big grows.

Use that one pump for two coolers.

Send me the change,

2 plants per cooler,,,,,,,,,
and remember,

Cool Waters,
No Light.

Cool deal see thats what I didnt understand because i see people do like 6 plants per reservoir ( with the totes ) . I'm taking your advice. I will do 2 plants per 120qt Igloo. 6 air stones in each cooler or 12? I guess I got confused because on your original thread the pics you had showed you using 8 net pots..

Sorry to confuse.

Would you like a HUGE harvest?

Use 12 air stones per cooler.

1 12 outlet pump per cooler.

hey bb57, i was told by someone at a grow shop that too many bubbles with mess with the ph balance....,is there any truth to this?

There is a scientific breakdown somewhere that gives the properties of different sized bubbles.

to make it short,,,,

the smaller surface on the bubble the better.

Your bubbles are what delivers atomized water molecules. Introduce the right mineral
compounds in the proper forms and now you are atomizing the nutes along with the water.

More bubbles, more better.

The lid prevents evaporation to a point. You will always need to add water to the res during the flower stage.

Madds can quote the paper. Me? I agree with him. I've seen it with my own two eyeballs
harvest after harvest. And now I'm upgrading to the 110 liter per minute pumps for all the coolers. 1 pump, two coolers.

Cool Waters,
No light

ps

and NO, it will not mess with the ph. answered that last cause Madds is rotflhao and choking.
Monitor the ph. You'll see.

Hey Boomer any cool tricks I could use to keeping my rock wool nice and wet ?
Soak it really, really good in a plastic trash bag.

Then throw it out with the rest of the trash.

Sorry, BH, that crap don't get within 12 gauge range around here.

We start beans in vermiculite, same with clones. When they are ready for a Veg spot
we dip the roots in the Reservoir water to clean the vermiculite off and then place the base of the root at the bottom of the net pot and carefully add hydrotron around it and to the top.

Have yet to lose a bean or a cut this way.

In our honest opinion? It cause's more trouble than it's worth.

But hey, I had two pennies in my pocket burning a hole,
so I thew em out there.

I think Murphy makes that darn stuff.

And we all know how Uncle Murphy can be.

Cool tricks, nah. Just dump the rockwool, go vermiculite and change yer world.

No Light.

A question about transferring my germinated seeds to the rock wool, should I put them in the DWC system or buy one of those plastic domes and water my rock wool with a spray bottle of ph'd water????
