Hard to beat the dirt cheap walmart pumps. Air stones all suck, if you can get the no stone thing to work for you go for that. I'm trying lee's discard a stones, but they still haven't arrived. I'm hoping they will perform as well as the expensive air diffusers (don't get clogged, ever) after I weigh them down with stainless steel nuts. I'm sick of constantly clogging stones.

I think the walmart stones are actually one of the best quality because they don't rely on 'glue' to hold the nozzle on (which often leaks giant bubbles). I have the best results with these.

Got rid of my airstones and am now running the Deweymister for my tea brews and ezcloner. Easy clean up and these things are great!!

Hmmm, maybe i shouldnt say anything, but...
I never use an air stone.
Might sound silly but i use several hoses in my hydro set.
Its an inexpensive diy.
I use a splitter off my maine line with two hoses in my tank.
It does work.
