Best Carbon Filter?!

Phat, Phresh, Can - I don't think you can go wrong with those.

Carbon filters are one of those things that I've bought cheap and had to replace in the middle of grow-which means smell became an issue, and thats not good either. I use a 6"x24" Phat filter with a 400cfm fan for my 4x4 tent ATM and it works great. If your ventilation/environment isn't set up properly none of them work great. High humidity really takes a toll on them and shortens their life span. I never use one for more then two harvests and I always have a back-up.

I've always used cheap china-made filters, and have had no issues, for the most part.

I'm going to be trying my first Green Gator filter as soon as it arrives, which I won in the last Party Cup comp...I've heard good things about GG filters...looking forward to trying it out and reporting back to the forums.

Maybe I've just been unlucky. My cheap ones didn't work good at all :(

i have branded Canfilter-100 bought for 400$ and similar 8 inch pay 150$ on Ebay (made in china), they are similar the coal is fucking similar and they both work well. Except one are 250$ more $$$$$$ .

I think serious company who made cheap filter use the same coal as Can-Filter.. Go for the best cheapest.

Update: I've installed my Green Gator filter in my tent, and couldn't be happier with the results. Its a big unit...bigger than the generic chinese ones I've used to this point. Glad my new tent is rated for the higher weight, as the combined weight of lights and filter would put stress on my old tent, which would put stress on my brain.

The thing that I like SO much with the Green Gator is the collar. After installing the collar to my fan, using the included self-tapping screws, the filter fit into the collar like a glove, and installing the filter itself was a snap. Better fit = better filtration. I only say this as I've usually had issues in the past making a perfect connection when installing my filter.

And, so far, its a better filter, result-wise. The reason why I say this, you ask? Even with my old filter running 24/7, I'd often get a slight smell creeping out of the grow room at harvest time. I hang my plants whole, upside down from the ceiling joists in the room that my tent is in, for the first few days of drying. The smell would find its way to different corners of the basement, despite the filter working away.

When I was installing the Gator, I had a lone PB hung to dry. After removing my old filter, the smell soon overcame the entire room, and wafted upstairs, as my wife made a comment to that effect. Once the Gator was properly hung/installed, the smell eventually dissipated, even in those problem corners. Now, I don't smell anything...even a bit of non-related basement summer damp smell is gone, which is pretty impressive!

I'd definitely check GG out the next time you're looking for a filter.

Phresh filter performs flawlessly on my stealth grow. Never any odor or flow issues since Nov 2012.

4" x 8" 150 cfm $83.96

Enough odor control for five, 5-gal plants you wouldn't know they were there unless you crack the door.

Sorry I offended u bro . I appreciate u looking out , most people on RIU try to tell me that ANY PVC IS BAD So I figured u were saying the same as others but NSF From HD & 3.5Mil black plastic is the way to go ! I seperate rooms with the black plastic so I can effectively utilize my unused extra space ! & once again sorry for offending you
