Best bait to catch stripper and cat fish

fishing and growing kill go hand and hand. So im going fishing on friday and want to know if anyone has had any luck with a certain kind of bait for cat fish and stripper

Catfish are garbage really, you may as well fish for your foreskin.

Small injured fish like perch work great out of everything I've tried. Just troll em along and wait for it to take. With catfish you can just let em sit and wait. Liver also works pretty good for catfish

yo if you're ever in sf go to brendas soul food. they got some catfish there thats hella good. im sure its the seasoning.
the neighborhood is rough, but thats ok, just go in the day time. its worth it.

I use cut bait soaked in wd40 for catfish. If your fishing in muddy water get yourself a little kiddie pool and let them swim in for a few days with a hose running in it. I get the cut bait from sucker fish. cats also like rotten chicken liver, shrimp and worms. we used a syringe and filled worms with wd40 that brings the cats in too.

Catfish love dog food , punch some holes in alpo an chuck em out to lure em to your spot. And the bait of choice here is live minnows or goldfish.

catfish will eat just about anything. they bite hard at night. i've always had good luck with chicken liver. chum the water with something greasy like a can of corn beef hash with holes punched in it. for better tastse fillet the fish out and let it soak in milk while in the refrigerator overnight, it will suck the dirt out of the meat. strippers can be caught all sorts of different baits and lures, i would check with a local fishermen for the best advice on what they like to bite on in your area.

the syringe trick is awesome for lake trout too. not a lot of people know of this technique where i live but it works great when nothing else seems to be.

hell yeah now i have a arsenal of tricks to use instead of just using frozen anchovies coool
