I have noticed that many problems faced by new growers relate to nute burn or fertilzer use. As well as this, I recently ordered a nute product and when it was delivered it arrived, it came with a number of catalogues from various companies which contained a huge number of products, all of which made fantastic claims about what they could do. I think it would be really helpful for new growers in particular to share in the experiences others have had in using fertilizer and nutrient products and which of those are worth spending money on. Please report both bad and good experiences and provide the appropriate details:
- Growing medium - soil/hydro/aero
- Product brand (eg Miracle-Gro) and specific product within that range
- Did you use according to product instructions or stronger/weaker dilution
- Any other factors that might have influenced performance (change of lights/temperature/other products used alongside/repotting etc)
-time of grow that you started/finished using product
-overall opinion on value for money and benefits/drawbacks
-if you are using homemade nutrients (eg compost tea), your recipes and method of use.
-Any comparison between different products and their results.
-What woudld be the single product you'd most/least recommend and reasons for this.
-Any photos you'd like to share - of good and bad experiences - would be fantastic.
