What you need it the color spectrum chart, which of course I can't find right now, to figure it out. Some premium bulbs don't put out the colors you need for your grow. So I guess I have not been of little help. But find that chart and compare it to what you need to push your buds to their fullest!

Light Bands
Light can be separated into a spectrum, which form the colours of the rainbow. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. Each of these lights mix down to give white light. Artificial lights, because of their nature, tend to lean towards a tint of one of these colours when they mix down to form white light.
The electro-magnetic spectrum is a term used in lighting to describe the distribution of electro-magnetic radiation by reference to energy. This table roughly gives wavelengths, frequencies, and energies for parts of the spectrum. You may find it useful. Here is the visible part of the spectrum. Plants are green, which means that Plants absorb light at the middle of the spectrum (Orange to Indigo). Cannabis plants need this part of the light spectrum to reach full growing potential. The intensity of the light is also important. A light that feeds the full bandwidth with all light spectrums will work very well - like sunlight. When dealing with artificial lights it is better to choose a light that concentrates its intensity on the top part of the spectrum. The most common indoor light systems are called HID lights. We will discuss the full range of lights that you may come across in some grow rooms.[/TD]

they are now compatible with e-ballasts.........personally tbh i found no difference in generic philips hps vs hortilux.....id suggest cmh but your running digi & 600w so a no go...

High Pressure Sodium LightsHigh Pressure Sodium (HPS) grow lights produce light that has more light in the red spectrum than regular sunshine which makes them perfect for use during the flowering stage of your marijuana plants. The light that an HPS emits will appear amber/yellow or pinkish. HPS lights are the same sort of lights that are used to light stadiums.
I need extra help picking out the right HPS Grow Light for my grow
For HID grow lights, 150-250 watt bulbs are suitable for 1-3 plants and will cover an area measuring 3 feet square (3x3).
Many growers choose to get a 400 and 600 watt bulb which are suitable for 4-12 plants.
You can get 1000 watt (or more) bulbs, but it is usually more practical to get multiple 400 or 600 watt bulbs instead, because you will be able to space the lights our more evenly.
Of all the different types of HPS lights, the 600W HPS light is the most efficient as far as how much light they produce for how much electricity they use.
Many people like to use Metal Halide lights for the vegetative stage of your marijuana plant, and then change to High Pressure Sodium lights for the flowering stage.
This takes advantage of the optimal light spectrum needed by your plants since Metal Halides produce light with more blue while HPS grow lights produce a pinkish yellow light with lots of light in the red/orange spectrum.
However, you can use HPS lights from beginning to end of your marijuana plant's life cycle, as long as you're gentle during the seedling page..

i use lumatek. also lumatek bulbs. i use the dual 600w 240v so i had to wire a HID controller to my electrical box. i been using this over a year now and not a single problem with a bulb. i do replace my bulbs like every year and a half but i keep my old ones and they still seem almost new. they do make 120v versions which i use 1 for veg but plug it into a surge protector. you can also turn it super lumens so it uses like 10-25% more power but also that much more lumens from just a 600w bulb. it wears and tears them more though im told. i like the 240v ballasts though cause then you can run them all on the same circuit if you have a medium to large sized grow you need to light. also you can turn them down to 400w or 360w. i do this on the really hot days. the electrical work is easy if you know what your doing. you can research it on the net or hopefully know someone thats done it before is even better. it is dangerous if you are new to it.
