I was thinking about ordering twenty of Robert bergmans gold leaf beans. Just wondering if anyone has any experience on the strain. Growing or smoking.

I wouldn't know, myself, but my friend Ernie is growing this strain and it's massively outperforming a Jack Herer which was planted at the same time. Still in veg and she is strong, healthy, and smells noticeably skunky. All this despite a lot of newbie growing mistakes early in her life.

Yea i never heard any thing about the strain..growing or smoking reports so i went with some different strains from TGA and cage green. Let me know how the gold leaf turns out. If the newb doesnt love it to death! Weve all been there before:mrgreen:

Chopped it today and it's absolutely the best plant I've ever grown! That is not saying much, mind you, but damn it looks and smells fantastic. I am looking forward to growing it again when I get a little more experience under my belt.

Nice...looking forward to pics and a smoke report. If you feel comfortable posting pics. I know some people that dont live in mmj states are a little apprehensive to show off there plants.

I'm a legal caregiver, so that's no problem, it's just that, sadly, all the pictures I took were pretty awful. The tent is small so it was too much of a pain to get the plants out into regular light to photograph them as they grew. And 99% of the last ones I took were just trichome pics to figure out if it was chop time.

Here's one from last night just before I chopped- it was under green light so I converted it to grayscale. It isn't gorgeous bud porn by any standards, but for a 2-gallon pot in a shared tiny grow tent with LEDs I'm really happy. It's all floppy since it was supported by the tent and the other plant the whole time it was growing and the stems didn't get strong.

The second one is of the hanging stems after a first trimming.

Smoke report in a month or so, as long as I don't screw up the curing!
More terrible pics in my grow journal if you really want to know... I will work on the photography as well as the growing. :)

I am not growing Bergman’s Gold Leaf, but am growing White Widow by the same guy. Things are turning out nicely. But I would like to learn how to beef things up a bit. Still new to the experience of growing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There are a lot of white widow grow journals Probabley right here on RIU. If not there's definitely one out there somewhere. WW is a classic strain you shouldn't have trouble. What stage off growth is your plant or how old is it?

That would be a nice plant to try a SCROG. Looks like she grew wide were you pinching it off during veg. How long did you veg?

I am about halfway through blooming them. I just was wondering if I am giving them enough of the Canna nutrients A&B for them. I am feeding 8 ml. each (a and b) in Veg. and 4 in Bloom. The buds are not that huge. I am looking to have larger colas. I give them sweeteners and a bloom booster. Perhaps my lighting is not enough to grow larger buds? I have two 100 wt LEDs and one 180 wt. LED in that tent.

Haha, so here's a new twist about Gold Leaf. We gave a couple of seeds to our neighbor, a couple of months ago. Both seeds sprouted, and he was pretty happy with them. Saw him today and he asked if we would take one of the two plants back, apparently they have both taken off and he can't move around in his greenhouse with both of them in there! So we'll be re-adopting one of them tonight after it gets dark. :) I'll take pictures tomorrow.

Edit: the adoption has been postponed until Monday. Photos after that.

How much space how many plants?
I use HID lights (metal halide/high pressure sodium for flower). Are your lights full spectrum i don't have a lot of experience with led. I use six hundred watt lights. One every 4'x4' area. As far as your nutes ive never used em. But i would go by what the bottle sais or your feeding chart at 50%-75%.
I use something called supersoil or my own little variation of it with compost teas on my ladies (AACT) im using boogie brew right now and my plants love it

OK, these are photos of a healthy Gold Leaf plant. Unfortunately, I inadvertently did some HST on it while moving it this morning. It was taller last night. :(
It's a standard dog-run type cage, 6 feet high, for scale. DSC_0004.JPG DSC_0005.JPG DSC_0003.JPG

Ive fixed broken limbs with duct tape after going a little crazy with the hst. From the looks of that plant though a little topping wouldnt hurt.

I just chopped my first gl. Just as good if not better than ww.it is everything Robert Bergman says it is. 5 star plant.sorry no pics I'm new on this forum.just want to say the buds were so heavy and dense you have to support them!full of trichs!

I am a brain tumor patient. This is gold leaf. Grows fast. When cured correctly insanely smooth smoke. Beyond happy with the THC /CBD ratio . My review, buy the seeds, you'll be EXTREMELY HAPPY
