beneficial fungi or need to start treating?

I get the exact same thing. It hasn't effected a plant yet and I haven't sterilized the pots between grows. If you have low air flow around the pots it'll stink musky. Other then that, It hasn't attacked anything but the outside of the fabric.

i'm using maxibloom (7g per gal) and epsom (1g per gal) with molasses every watering. it might be salt buildup, but it grows on top of the coco too. i guess i'll just keep an eye on it and pray for the best, thanks guys!!

It's an organism. It'll turn beige when treated with H202. Leaving the pot outside to Sun clean will crust it up. It not easy to wash out/off the pot. At least with a water hose.

The pots drain out the bottom. Not much comes out the sides. It doesn't grow as much if any on the bottom as it does the sides.

Does it feel salty and crusty in your hands? Or
Does it feel like nasty mold shit you'd see growin on a bad apple, strawberry, blueberries, that white fuzzy soft nasty shit, that is actually healthy benefical fungi.
it is quite simple to determine this.

It looks like salt to me.

It's not salt. If it was then the entire bottom would be white and able to scrap off as dust. The fabric is a hell of a filter. 1/16" of weed prevention fabric.

It's some kind of white growth that doesn't easy give up. It's stout.

if it's white growth, its good stuff.
they love the air, bad shit wont grow on outside 'airy' place ;)
Aerobic oxygeb rich conditions
not Anaerobic in low oxygen condition
I believe if it's not salt, then it's good stuff. Your mycorrhizae has gone out of control!
Which is good.
What bad can it do? just the way it looks?

I wondered what it was. Compost Tea sets it's off. I've let it run because H202 won't stop it. At strengths that bomb regular mold.

Your new army...
Enjoy...

It doesn't mean you have these exact types of fungi in your soil, this is just to show you the overal POWER of fungi in general.

The type of fungi you used, will create a bond with plant roots, on the outside, as well as go inside the plant and colonize throughout it's internal system, ectomycorrhizae and endomycorrhizae fungi. The will increase nutrient uptake and protect the plant from within and increase metabolic functions. (cell replication rate is increased = more growth, faster.) The ectomycorrhizae fungi that live and coat your roots on the outside will extend their filiments, those long thin arms, which increases your roots surface area drawing in nutrients from further away and many many beneficial functiuons, can't write so much.. So you may not have these nematode eating fungi in your soil, or you might..lol..
The compost tes brings more diverse fungi and bacteria to the table and nourishes what was already there, why after a tea you see some massive growth etc.. which is great..

if it's not salt, that is. LOL I still think from the pics, it's salt. :)

yeah i dont think it's salt, it's fuzzy white mold and it's only on 2 or 3 out of 5 pots. sometimes it'll grow a layer on top of the coco and i'll just turn the top couple inches so it goes away.

i also have 2 1litre bottles half full with water sugar and yeast w/ a hole in the cap, but it had already started growing before i added the co2

If its green or brownish, and grows on top, it means you keepo it too wet up there /slash water too often.
THe white fuzzy stuff, is the good sheeit.

If it's black mold, and it grows between your walls, then run for your life.

IMG_0412.JPG IMG_0413.JPG IMG_0414.JPG Yeah it's white fuzzy mold, ive gotten quite a bit more of it in the last month. The pots are almost completely covered now. And the top of the soil is quite covered too. It's hard to tell in the picture because I watered yesterday, but when it dries out you can really see the white fungi.

So I don't have to worry about treating this mold? It's not harmful to the plants or bud??
