beneficial bacteria?

so i been looking online and ive come across a few different types of good bacteria for my DWC set up. i just got my buckets today and i will be starting my first grow in about a month when i crop my soil grow. can anyone recommend a brand??? also what do you guys think about the home made co2 generator? i know about the yeast and whatnot but would you say this works on weed??? my friend made one for his fish tank which is super simple to make i just dont know if its enough co2 for one plant. i have a 5 gal bucket

Hydroguard or Orca if you don't want to mix powders or make teas. ZHO and/or Great White Shark are great too (powders)~

Pondzyme. Cheap. At local pet shop. Works like magic.

So just pour it in as instructed and that it huh.. interesting. I think I'll go with the hydroguard

Works as flawless as it reads IMO 1-2ML per gal = flawless. Every 5-ish days

1-2 ml every 5 days or so? Just making sure I'm understanding this correctly. Seems pretty simple. Thanks again

Correct, I also leave a tiny bit of the previous res change's water into the new res. The old beneficial bacteria from the previous hydroguard help establish a new population of good bacteria (fighting off bad bacteria from tap at the same time).
