Beginning a first grow in a warm room

The area for my grow cabinet rarely gets below 80* and is often in the 82*- 84* range (a combination of southern exposure and an overpowered heating system). It will be difficult-to-impossible for me to cool it much below this -- and we haven't even started talking about lights.

I've got a former armoire with one 2x2x5 section and 2 2x2x2.5 sections, respectively. I was going to use CFLs (2 hanging 105w bulbs with 2 125w bulbs on the ceiling) combined with three LED panels -- but even CFLs will result in a significant increase in heat, and I'm not sure how to vent so efficiently that the temp in the cabinet is a degree or two below the ambient air temp, if indeed such a thing is possible. (If it were, I might want to use a 250w HPS light to illuminate the 2x2x5 instead of the 2 125w bulbs).

Would it be possible for me to grow a crop in these warmer-than-ideal conditions? I have some White Label Double Gum seeds. Given the heat, I'm wondering if I might not want to try SCROGing/LSTing the heck out of an African Sativa -- although I'm not sure I could give them enough light with CFLs.

I have two Waterfarms: I was going to use them to grow/flower the plants. I'm currently waiting on a rockwool germination kit (I'm not starting this until I get back from a trip) and plan to grow this first crop hydroponically as a learning experience and trial run. Ideally I will get some clones/cutttings and set myself up with a small SOG operation -- I'm thinking my current setup could take care of my cannabis consumption just fine if I played my cards right.

Any thoughts for a novice? I'll post pics of my setup soon.
