Beauty and the Beast

Had this one growing for a few weeks now. It's a seed I got out of a medical marijuana bag. The strain is "Blaze." Nicknamed Beast.

The compaion sproutling is another seed I got known as "Mothership" and it got started only a few days ago. I nicknamed it Beauty for now, but no idea if I'm going to keep it around. We'll see how it grows over the next few days.

Beast is doing pretty well. I just started to tie it down. I upped my light count to try a mixed spectrum for the next few days. So far I have not needed any nutrients. Just plain ol' H2O. The day is coming though. The first little water leafs have just begun to show signs of yellowing. They should be falling off eventually.

If I had to do it all over again I would wait until I had a bit more money to start my grow, but so far I have managed to make it work with a little bit of creativity and a lot of reading.

Soil/Tempeatures/Watering/Etc.:
My potting soil is Kellogg's All-Natural Outdoor Patio Plus. It's cheap and has worked good so I use it.

My temperatures have not been quite dialed in yet. Right now I am sitting around 79. with a little over 50% humidity. Hoping to drop this down in the mid 70's once I upgrade my exhaust fan's AC adapter to 12v.

Lighting:
(4) 27-watt Daylight CFL's @ 1,750 lumens ea.
(2) 42-watt Soft White CFL's @ 2,600 lumens ea. [Will remove these and add two more of the above bulbs if over the next few days I feel this mixed spectrum isn't working out.]

Box:
(2) 35-gal Sterilite "rubbermaid" tubs from Wally World. Spray painted white on the inside.(1) 120mm Enermax PC Fan Exhaust @ 5v. Fan is rated at about 70 CFM.
(1) Double-dipped Corn Dog DIY Light Trap Passive Intake

Here's some pics. Thanks for checkin it out!

Shameless Plug: I learned everything I know from this forum and Google. I've been lurking here for quite a while and am glad I have. RIU is the bees' knees.

looking good mate, good luck with the grow
Thanks man. Appreciate it.

I may or may not post updates to this thread but only time will tell. I am not big on keeping a constant journal of my grows but I was just really happy with how healthy this plant has been so far so I decided to show my fellow RIU's how it looks. The mixed spectrum did not seem to be doing as well as I had hoped for. All of my research online about mixed spectrums was mixed itself (half saying it's better while half said it's not) but I am leaning towards just keeping it simple. I decided to pull those two larger bulbs and shelf them again for my flowering stage. Replaced them with a couple of the daylight bulbs.
