Beanni's Second Grow-Around

Hello, I'm Beanni, and this is my second medical marijuana grow. I don't know why, but I decided to start an online journal today. I also want to mention that I do not have a way to upload pictures right now, so it's going to be a lot of boring text until I get some pics thrown up. I'm still new to this so I welcome any and all advice or constructive criticism.

Anyways, onto the grow. I am running 10 Bubba Kush clones I picked up from a trusted partner on 7/13. The setup I'm is a basic one-grow-at-a-time room. Although, after I have a LOT more experience growing, and the supplies, I would love to setup a perpetual grow room with my partner, but that's a dream for now.

The room is built out of 2x4's and measures 3'x8'x8'. It has a height-adjustable floor with 3/4'' holes drilled through it in a checker pattern for improved air circulation (You can thank the user named Hobbes for these modifications, I saw it in one of his amazing threads and wanted to use it, I'll upload the link later if I can find it). The exhaust fan is located near the top of the grow room and is over-sized so it can provide passive air intake through the floor. I also have a couple circulating fans blowing constantly.

When I transplanted the little girls I put them under a 4' 4-Tube Fluorescent Light that's 4 inches away from the canopy. They arrived rooted in rockwool cubes and were transplanted into a cube-shaped pot around 4''x4''x6'' with a mix of 60% FFOF and 40% Coco Fiber. I watered them with a 6.0 pH solution containing superthrive and a very light nutrient mix during transplant. Since FFOF seems to have a good amount of nutes I'm just using regular tap water until they start showing signs of hunger, then I am going to either use the Fox Farm nutrient line or this other company I can't think of ATM (I have to go to the store anyways, I'll edit in the name when I find out).

I spray them twice a week with Einstein Oil normally as a preventative, but I didn't have any this week so I used some great product called GreenCure.

For veg. & flowering they will be in the same soil mix under a 600W light. MH for veg. and HPS for flower. The reflector I have is an Adjust-a-Wing, and it will be connected to an Intelli LightRail 3.5 with 6' rail. I ran this same setup (except I used Perlite instead of Coco) last grow and was very pleased, I hope the same goes for the time around.

Let me know if you have any questions/comments/advice and thanks for reading!

OK, here's a quick update.

The plants are looking excellent, they're roots are starting to pop through the bottom and the leaves are looking healthy. I think I'll transplant into 1 gallon pots and top over the weekend if they keep the pace up.

I finally found a way to upload some photos too. I didn't figure it out until about an hour ago, and since the plants are in the dark cycle I'm going to have to just upload some pictures from way back on July 14th (Sorry there's so few, I was only taking a couple to show someone what I had done with them). The medium they're in contains FFOF(60%) and Coco(40%) and they're receiving plain water for now. In case you're wondering what that black thing in the background is, it's just a Humidity Dome. I was going to grow from seed this time but I couldn't due to some things and decided to practice growing seedlings over the winter with some free bag seeds received from a friend so I'm confident growing from seed this spring.

That's about it for now, I'm gonna go chill out. Thanks to those who stopped by. bongsmilie

Just a quick mid-day update to get some current pics thrown up. Here are some pictures I took this morning.

I have to go pull all the dead and dying leaves off later tonight and clean up a little, I'll upload more when I'm done.

Here are some pictures of last night after they were transplanted. The medium they're in is the same 60%FFOF and 40%Coco. I'm starting to feed them with Roots Organic after the next watering at 1/4 strength.

Just for fun I wanted to post this picture. There's a forest fire nearby and the sun looked beautiful as I was driving down the highway. It was like a red full moon, first time I've seen something like that.

The girls were watered about an hour ago and here are some pictures of how they're doing. No nutrients yet, just distilled water. After another week or so they'll be ready to step up pot size.

Here's a picture of the reflector they'll be moved under tonight. It's connected to an adjustable digital ballast and will be set to 400W, the bulb that will be installed is a Digilux MH.
