don't worry im here, i reak like a campfire and stale sweat but i made it through. i finished 5 more 10 plant plots over the past few days, they will for the most part just sit out there for the next month till the next batch is ready, i have recieved one of my nirvana packs in the mail...no word on the rest of them but they will be germinated on june 1st.

I saw lots of wildlife, turkeys up the ying yang, deer as well, leapord frogs everywhere as well as lots of falcons and hawks, i saw a small possum and heard several unidentified, though seemingly very scary animals from my camp last night. lets just say i would have slept much better had i just brought my damn tent. lol the ticks arent quite as bad it seems, and the morels are for the most part out of season, i only found one.

The thirty that are already out there are still alive and kicking, though a few just barely made it with less water than the others or shorter roots, don't know what but they were drooping a tad when i got there yesterday. would have liked to see a little more growth, but it has been really dry and considering i was 2 days late to water them and at this age i think they are doing really well, i gave them some super diluted guano tea for a little nitrogen burst. all the new plots got pearlite added and a little bit of garden lime. I took a few pics of the woods and animals and stuff, ill upload them later, after 3-4 showers, but all in all not a whole lot to see yet with the babies, ill get fresh pics sometime next week when i come back to water and check up on them.

for the most part updates wont be nearly as often from now on, Untill i need to set up plots for my kc33/masterkush and others i will just be going out every week or two, more if this drought keeps up, to water and kill weeds if need be. Im starting to get obsessed with this project and this forum, i think i need to post less as im taking all the fun from others who were here before me. so expect to see less of the "beaner" screenname after the last post of every single thread in the outdoor forum, though ill be updating my mushroom grow daily as they are growing very fast!

no not leaving, just leaving the fun of helping everyone to you fdd! you haven't been posting much lately and it makes me sad! i don't want to take over anybodys forum and it seems like i was, looking down the page, 80 percent of the threads had my name as the last poster. ill still help, but im gonna leave some for you guys, i am the caretaker of my appartment building as my only job, 4 hours of work tops a week for free rent, so i just sit on the internet all day. bad bad bad, well i still havent opened my pack yet to start loading pics, i just came into my bedroom and the window was open, it's frickin freezing in here! but that didn't stop me from noticing my pack is reeking my whole room up like campfire... i wonder if the temps are so cold they are slowing the growth of my outdoor babies? well i just noticed it's about time to start planting most of the ROADTRIPS, most are tapped between a quarter and third an inch, final count and pics soon, but i must warm up first and get my planting done. here are a few pics of some turkeys i was chasing in a clearing, sorry but wild turkey is a mysterious fish, i couldn't get too close and they run pretty damn fast, looks like a few wheres waldo the turkey pics. there are two toms and a hen. also here is a pic of some of my mushrooms.

Hey Beaner,
Do you leave your bagged plants above ground for the long haul, or do you bury the bags and let them outgrow them into the ground?
this year they will stay in bags, because the plots are in a deep swamp, the ground looks dry but stand in one place for more than a min and your ancle deep in nasty water. the landscaping tarp underneath and the bags are stopping most of the seep into the plants, so they wont be permanently bad, inviting root rot.

usually i prefer to plant in the ground with ammended soil, but this spot was too good to pass up...

ok, thought i would give an update, not much to see, 36 of my 38 seeds in my first batch of Roadtrips have germinated and were planted last night, as of now 36 out of the 36 that germinated have broken the surface. im picking shells off and the embronic skin that is holding a few of the coteledens in place, care must be taken to not break the tiny plant or nick the coteledans.

as of now im working on putting new light sockets in the cab, and final wiring of the fans. before the night is over my cab will be pretty much finished and my new batch happily basking in the light of my 250 watt hydrofarm compact flouro. supplimental side lighting will be added later when the outdoor plants are finally all outdoors and i can start a new indoor, looks like im gonna run out of medicine before my next harvest though, lol. I have other sources but im gonna try and ration more... the outdoor plants should be fine with water for a few more days, ill be going out there tuesday or wednesday to check on them and take pics.

my girlfriend is gonna kill me when she wakes up! i was working on finishing up my box and knocked the soldering iron onto the carpet, i didn't smell it till it had melted a hole all the way to the wood under the padding. my livingroom stinks horribly, but on the good side, i did manage to finish my damn box. now i just need to build my small mother cab, the veg and mother cabs will be half the width of the flowering cab and go underneath it. the flowering cab is almost twice as tall as the other two. all in all it will have 460 watts of cfl, and probably 6 2 foot flourecent tubes for side lighting in the flowering cab, when it's all done it will be sanded and painted so i can stand to look at it. i would say i have a LOT of work left, but at least two of the compartments are up and running. Now that i found new lower profile sockets i might be able to fit two 65 watt bulbs in the small cabs, making the wattage 130 instead of 105, hell every bit helps right?

The whole thing is made of sturdy plywood and should last quite a bit longer than my c13 did. It wasn't completely fallen appart but the ballast on my hps crapped out and the malamite was rotting away really bad on the shelf that held my plants so i decided to start over. i managed to buy three 250 cpf bulbs from a freind that bought them and never used them, as far as i know they are 3 years old and hydrofarm doesn't even make 250 watt bulbs anymore. I got all 3 for a hundred bucks so i think im going to replace the bulb every 4 months and decide what to replace them with in a year when that time comes.

Its running in the middle of my living room for half an hour now and temps are still around 75-80 so im very happy with my fans. for a cpf it puts out a lot of heat, though much less than my hps did. the 36 Roadtrips are happily chugging away. tomorow ill probably post pics of them as well as new shots of my three mushroom cakes. here is a pic of the basic box without the door or anything cut out to give you an idea of the size. Well thanks for listening all!

i thought they looked like my downstairs after a cold day swimming in the lake...turns out the humidity in my fruiting chamber was too high, and that was the cause of slow growth and fat mushies with small heads, should even out a bit now i hope.

Lets see some pics of your largest plants so far. This thread has me intrigued with out door grows and their possibility for the amount of yield that is possible.

yeah those shrooms where yummy, lol ate them all friday night and spent the evening smoking some tasty blockhead by a secluded pond, while tripping my nuts off to the ducklings eating alge and the bluegills slurping bugs off the surface, all the branches on the neighboring bushes turned purple and i could see millions of gnats flying around in a forest of purple lightning and geometric shapes. im taking extra care this run so i can get much higher yeild and trip more, mushrooms are offically beaners best friend!

you will find asking for pics for the most part will be futile as my plot is 20-30 min drive from my house then a 20-30 minute hike through the humid swamps. However today you are lucky as i will be making a trip out there anyway, i can't fit more than 8 plants in my pack at once with the size of the new pots im using so i decided to start bringing them out once or twice a week for the next few weeks, even though they are fairly young. also my kc33Xmaster kush seeds are ready to go in soil today and will need room in the grow cab tomorow or the next day.

I will also be planting 6 roadtrips in the abandoned field closer to my appartment. the soil is perfect there and if i could get away with it i would plant them all there, they will get perfect sun soil and moisture there and should get fairly large, as well as letting me know when the main crop needs to be sexed and harvested.

ill be back tonight and hopefully will have the energy to catch up with the pics, ive got lots of new ones but as of yet have been to lazy to upload them.

Finnaly it's time for an update, I spent my only day off this week getting nasty and sweaty in the woods, slaving over my babies. I brought 14 more Roadtrip seedlings out, and made new plots for them, I have many many plots sitting on the other side of the river with no plants, but i wanted to save those for the nirvana seeds that i haven't germinated yet.

my reasoning being that most of the heavy lifting and hauling should be done as early in the season as possible. This is because most of the vegitation is very young earlier in the season, and you will be making quite a few trails hauling dirt and fencing around. they will be less obvious when there are no waist high fresh veggies to trample, and once the grasses and nettles do get that high, they will completely cover most all proof of your hard work trampling through the woods. by the end of the month when all my plants are out there the vegitation will be very high and i don't want to be killing it while carrying 160 pounds of soil 6-8 times back and forth. every day. by doing it now i will minimize impact to the environment and help avoid detection.

By the time i had hiked to base camp one, the mosquitoes had pretty much drained all my blood and patience, the second i got there i dropped my pack and started a nice fire, and tossed a bunch of wet rotten wood on top. this makes lots of smoke that keeps the mosquitoes away. i stood directly in the path of the smoke so i would reak like it all day, and had few problems with the little buggers aftarward. i ended up smoking up a few acres though and don't recomend it unless you have too, from now on im bringing deep woods, 29% deet.

well the process is the same every time, pour 3 bags of soil onto a canvas, add garden lime to raise ph, (peat is very acidic and lowers the ph, causeing nutrient lockout, wich i was having problems with the first few weeks with my skunk#1's)mix well and fill 6 tripple bagged cub foods bags, i did this twice then located a new spot, and brought it all out there, 4 bags at a time, and a final trip with the root block tarp, fencing, and seedlings.

I took a few pics to show how i hide my fencing and root block and supplies, by covering them with bark so they are less obvious at a distance.

here is a pic of the abandoned field neer my appartment, i planted 4 plants in individual plots today with cones of fence around them, possibly tomorow i will plant the final 4 out there as well, tell me a pot plant wouldn't blend in with these plants!!!! they look like a bit cannibus sea of green!!!

I had a deer standing about 30 feet from me for about 5 minutes while i was working, i tried to get a pic but it was so dark all you can see are her eyes, damnit!!!elusive creatures, I have not gone a single trip out there without seeing at least a dozen deer, they are infested, i nearly stepped on a turkey hen as well, scared the crap out of me when it exploded into the air. also here is a little toady that was watching me fill grow bags, lol.

and here is some pics of my skunk#1/white rhino's they have gotten over there ph problem (you can see the crappy bottom leaves) and are just starting to enter vegitative growth, i expect them to take off very soon, and should be doubled in height by next week.
