BCNL Prodcuts. Few Questions

Okay first off I'd like to start off that I've never done indoor gardening before.. I had a few goes at trying to grow outdoors never any success to be honest.. The most recent ones I had 3-4 weeks left on harvest and some kids ripped them out of the ground and took off with them(pain in the ass I know) soo now i've decided to start indoors.

I'm not a do it yourself person at all.. Far from it. I work 2 full time jobs and have no time to build anything and price is no issue.. I have pretty much 4 hours everyday to work on the plants. So basically I know I need a system that runs by itself with little maintence and complete stealth smell, sound everything stealth is a big must for me. I've came down to bcnl's products(unless someone has a design their willing to share). Not sure which one to get. But I've got awhile to think about it. So i have a few questions. To start my long descion making and learning process.

1. What kind of problems have people came across with these products so far.
2. Which one should I get I've decided between the Producer Bloombox or the bud light. Basically I need to know which one i can probally produce 9-15 ozs a harvest. I know the first few I'll probally screw up. but as long as the first 2 harvest can pay for what I spend I'm happy
3. I can't decide to start growing a mother plant before I get one of these bcnl products. or just wait til it comes and and work from there.
4. Should I try hydro for my first grow, or go soil..
5. Which strans work best indoors with good quanity and quality
6. Where is the best place to order seeds online.(I live in us)
7. ummmmmm... cant think of any more.. I had alot when i was high earlier now im sober and cant think of them....

I believe thats it. I pretty much need suggestions and advice. Im pretty set on not building my own grow box. (unless someone has a pretty flawless design that cost half of what ill spend and doesnt take long to build)
Sorry for all the rambling and non sense.

If you have somewhere to veg than I'd go with the Producer, but if you want an all in one go with the Bloombox(I own one). Also I have bought 2 wardrobe cabinets from HD(48"x21"x72"ish) and modified them with lights and exhaust for way less than buying pre made. Check Out "Growingclosets"

Do you like the bloombox? Was it worth what you spent on it? And the bud pro has a veg side. Would it just as good as the bloombox? It also has more room for growing then the bloombox and the producer. Thank you for such a quick respond btw

I like the bloombox, but I bought used for a lot less. I just checked out the Bud Pro and it looks good probably a lot cheaper than the bloombox. The buds were nice big and tight from my first grow and probably got about 8 ozs. Around me ozs go for as much as $600 so if you do the math this thing could pay for itself quick, but I just grow for personal use. There is some maintenance with the hydro tub, I would shop vac out the water each week and clean up and refill would take me a couple hours and keeping the ph stable and the tub cool with ice bottles each day takes some time. It was worth it in the end. I also recommend venting it out of the grow room in which it's in.

Yeah the bud pro I believe is only 2700.. I think I dont remember the price of it.. So do you think it would do the same as the bloombox. I mean obviously it would but do u think it would produce more or less. What stans have you grown in it?

I only have one grow under my belt in the bloombox and the strain was some OG Kush, but definitely need to grow indica dominant strains. My current grow I have a sativa dominant strain that is about 2 weeks into 12/12 and is stretching a bit much for the box, but I have some Northern Lights Blue(indica) vegging in another cabinet that I think I'm gonna replace the sativa dominant with. As far as which is gonna produce more I think the Bloombox has a little more elbow room, but the BudPro does give you a little more grow height which might not be bad. I like the quality of the Bloombox all metal construction but it is bulky.

Alright thank you.. I really wanted to grow some sativa =\. Oh well ill grow northern lights it is one of my favs. I think I might go with the bloombox. How long did it take you to harvest in it? and again thanks for the help you seem to be the only one helping me lol.I also just noticed i posted on ur thing i was trying to remember who it was i did that to lol.. Couldnt find it. you answered pretty much all my questions on there.. Do you think it is possible to veg in the producer?

I have also been looking into the BCNL products as my current grow is not as contained as I would like it to be, and the bloombox seems to contain the grow room nicely.

I can only help you on a few of these questions:

3. I can't decide to start growing a mother plant before I get one of these bcnl products. or just wait til it comes and and work from there.
Start now by the time you decide what your going to buy, get it delivered, set it up, and do a load of reading she will be ready to take clones. :weed:

4. Should I try hydro for my first grow, or go soil..
I say hydro, with the proper equipment it will most likely yield more success than soil at this time, how was your soil grow going until the kids ran off with your plants? :wall:

5. Which strans work best indoors with good quanity and quality
This will depend in what your are looking for in a final product. :leaf:

@Detroit420, have you tried a SCRoG in the bloombox? do you think it's possible. I was looking into the BCNL products and I like the fact that it's nicely contained but they are pricey.

My next grow will definitely be a SCRoG, after that I will reinvest some time looking into the BCNL products.

You could grow sativa as long as you dont veg taller than 10" or so. I will probably try a scrog at some point in the Bloombox, just not experienced with scroging yet. As far as vegging in the Producer, it does have a switch for 12/12 or 18/6 so yes you can, but I like the option of always having something flowering. I'm actually gonna check into changing the light schedule program on my flower(12/12) chamber to 18/6 or 20/4 to try some autoflowers in their. I think these boxes would be perfect for autoflowers since autos only get so tall. I actually am just about to harvest my first autoflower which I grew in the veg chamber under the 125watt cfl in a 3 gallon Smart Pot with coco/perlite and it is killer looking and smelling.

Ive got the producer which ive used for a few grows now and like it although you have to pick your strains carefully as you are restricted height wise. This holds 18 plants and i think thats too many as the plants tend to grow upwards when sqaushed to together and you really dont want this. Ive also put duct spiggots on the back of the cab to take away the hot air otherwise it just gets drawn back into the cab if you dont use ducting to direct the heat away. Next grow in this i will lollipop the girls and just grow one main cola without all the branching, this would be the best way to grow in one of these cabs IMO.

What strans have you grown in them and did you start them from seeds?
Yeah ive only done seed grows in it, done all sorts cheese, bigbud, skunk #1, sharksbreath, rocklock and several others which ive forgot. These cabs grow em well no doubt about that its just the height issue and like i said as there really close together plants want to stretch more as they cant go outwards. My first grow i only had the cab half full and that grow went well pulled about 14oz of about 10 plants if i remember right but the last couple of grows ive done ive filled the cab up with 18 and they aint gone so well the plants just carried on stretching till they hit the top of the cab and that was 12/12 from seed so no veg time. Lollipoping the plants and growing just one main cola is my next grow and this should work well i rekon and give me atleast an oz per plant ive got the space now to veg up some rocklock and take some snips so this is my plan. Heres a few pics from my last grow of cheese before they went beserk lol.

Hey I got a BCNL producer at the end of May, I was thinking of doing a grow journal, I am shooting for having a perpetual supply of both sativa and indica dominant buds that have been cured and smoke to perfection.

I live near where BCNL make them in Canada and went and checked out their warehouse before I made a big purchase. I really wanted a used one but I wanted to get started and ended up with the producer with cheese package. After seeing their manufacturing process at work, the care that goes into each new generation of growbox and talking to the manager and staff I was sold. So far I feel these guys make pretty good stuff, expensive but pretty quality, a few things I found lacking though right away are an extra fan and a hygrometer and I had 1 dud (2 hour life) HPS ( the one thing not under 3 year warranty, probably will go with a better brand in the future, anyone hear of artemis?), also I upgraded from the combo pH/TDS pen to a Blue Lab triple meter.

Here's the setup:

I could have made a DIY box cheaper but I love how its contained and can be easily moved. I am growing Purple Kush and have some WhiteBerry mom's started from seed for my next round. So far I have been really happy with service, I picked up the device myself (NEED to have a pickup truck) and the people there were super helpful good customer service (better be for the price :?). I also enjoy the extended support line and chat help. I went for the producer because I felt it was so easy to veg mothers and clones in a small closet under a second 125W flouro. Where the bloombox in the end would just half my flowering area. Anyways they are pricey but pretty close to complete ready to go system. Good luck man!

I found a good deal on a used producer and dryer, and I'm considering spending five hundred on bcnl products to have the warranty transfered. The only problem is the warranty will expire 02/12. Would the tech support alone be worth it?

For $500, bcnl will give me a t5 upgade, tri meter, and two artemis hps bulbs.

For that same $500 I could buy...

$100 - two new hortilux hps http://www.ehydroponics.com/hortilux_super_hps_400_watt.html
$175 - nutradip tri meter http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-NUTRADIP-TRI-METER-PH-PPM-TEMP-CONTINUOUS-MONITOR-/260814537173?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cb9c201d5#ht_500wt_922
$75 - t5 upgrade (two 4' strips, mogul>standard, standard>outlet)

...and still have $150 to spend on nutes or whatever.

So I have two questions...

Is the t5 worth it? Would you go the bcnl route, or go it alone for a better deal? Thanks for any response.
