Haha, every comment on there is either in support for MMJ or from people who are pissed that our tax dollars are not being spent better.

Yeah i was actually across the street when this happened to Beacon of light. KIcked their fucking door in and all. Handcuffs , the whole nine.
Henry st cc was a diffrent story. Just came in and took their shit. Fucking ludacris if you ask me, we are allowed to grow but have no legal source of clones or seeds , figure that the fuck out.

It's funny though. Government got a free class on how to run "dispensaries". Thats basically what it will come down too. They will re-write the law saying the public out cry was too much to ignore and they will tax it or run the stores themselves.

Fucked up when politicians let their own personal opinions dictate laws they have the power to make instead of the peoples votes.

Peace , fuck the man. I will grow till the end.

p.s they are open with meds on the table. They said they couldn't charge em with shit so they re opened. Don't make sense though since the new law states patient to patient selling is illegal.

as far as i'm concerned, the law changed nearly nothing. i had been under the impression that a transfer does not constitute a sale and that is in the act it self. money exchanging hands or not.

Well it is a sale , and we know it is. Call it what you want , transfer donation whatever. It's a sale or a present. The only way the new law states you can aquire meds is to legally grow for yourself , or have your caregiver grow for you. He/she has to be your appointed caregiver and have your grow rights. I can no longer sell or give meds away to another legal patient. Unless i am their cargiver.

So it is illegal. You can act like it isn't , but it is and can get you arrested if your not carefull. Peace

Its not a new law yet thankfully. Its an opinion held by three judges on the Mighigan Court of Appeals. That ruling is being appealed to the michigan supreme court

But Bleedmaize, it's really not illegal under Michigan state law. I don't see this grey area people refer to, it's pretty black and white to me.

Michigan Medical Marijuana Act Sec 4 (e) said:
A registered primary caregiver may receive compensation for costs associated with assisting a registered qualifying patient in the medical use of marihuana. Any such compensation shall not constitute the sale of controlled substances.
It may be brief, but it's pretty clear to me. It says 'a registered qualifying patient', not the registered qualifying patient registered to the caregiver. It goes on to say that receiving compensation is NOT considered the selling of drugs. What's grey about that?

I'm curious, what exactly are these people getting charged with?

In regards to the ruling by the appellate court, I don't understand how they could make such a ruling. There job is to interrupt the law, not to create new law. There is no way to interrupt the law into reading that p2p, c2p, or even dispensaries are illegal. It's just not in there.

Exactly. It's not in there so it shouldn't be allowed, sorry.

Kind of like getting my prescription Vicodin and selling it to people who are in pain for a donation for my gas to Walgreens to pick it up they need it and cant afford it so, illegal maybe? Hypocritical about the laws that pertain to cannabis... definitely.

its a tiny bit of words that part with "a caregiver" but it's so important. r1tony-you stupid cop; your vicodin story is really neat but it only fits if the vicodin isn't available anywhere at all, and all the chemicals to make it are unavailable (much like the seeds/clones we can't legally get and the dispensary we can't legally access ). Your compassion is astounding. every post you flaunt that you can grow and you're so great and legal while you tell people sick from radiation that they should jsut grow their own.....you're a neat guy. P.S. I decided to stick around this forum just for you r1tony-ya dick!

That's not how law works in America. There's nothing in the law about painting your furniture yet that's legal, nothing in the law about masturbation being legal yet nobody has kicked your door in yet. Vicodin is a schedule III drug under the Controlled Substance Act of 1970. It specifically says schedule III drugs cannot be sold except with prescription. So you're example is stupid (much like the poster of it), is irrelevant, and is just anti-mmj spin.

Our law says nothing about dispensaries, but it does say that a caregiver can get money for providing a service. So why does it have to be out of a car instead of a building?

Please go crawl back into that hole your crawled out of. You are not loved, respected, or wanted here. You are a f***ing cancer.
