bat guano, top dressing during flowering.

Hey guys good idea to top dress my girl with high P bat guano during flowering? She doesnt even have noticable buds, thats why im thinking its a good idea. If you top dress its suppose to give it food for 3-4 weeks, and with a compost tea its only a instant feed where with the top dressing it will feed for awhile. I still have awhile to go in flowering, so I think it might be a good idea.

AACT teas provide negligible NPK value. Most true organic grow mediums have all the nutrients plants require in the medium and the purpose of AACT teas is to help the microbes deliver nutrients already in the medium the plants require. If your grow medium doesn't contain the nutrients your plants require, top or side dressing with specific fertilizers (not solubles which wash out with regular watering) is by far the best delivery method.

Thankyou, I would have added the bat guano to the soil, but I didnt know I should have added to the soil before I planted, so too late now.

No big deal. One of the pleasures of mixing an organic grow medium that will furnish all nutrient requirements throughout a plant life cycle is the the nice feature of just doing regular watering and a couple off AACT drench and foliar applications throughout that life cycle.

Thankyou, just added 2tsp high P bat guano to half gallon of soil, put around the base of my plant and all around it. Scratched into the first inch of soil. Not going to water though caue its going to rain tomorrow, thanks for the advice madodah.

I ususally add my guano to water and let it sit for a few days before i give it to my girls. I follow the bag and perfect results ever time and must i say very tasty!

Guys be very careful with stuff like bat shit, you should at the very least have a 3m sanding mask on, 1.25$ this stuff will cause repertory problems if handled wrong. Protect yourself. Ever planted and blown your nose only to find all kinds of dirt from planting?

Just added bat guano to my soil as a top dressing as well. That was about 3 days ago, it rained the night after i gave it to my girls. This was my first time using this product. With just 3 days i can already see a bit of a difference in the healthiness of the plant. My girls haven't started flowering yet and i was wondering if there was any chance it might shock my plants ?

How much dose ur bag say to add I've read different amount online to add to water

I will top dress with all purpose seabird guano (12-12-2) when I first switch to flower, I do 1/2 cup per 7 gallon pot.

Then every two weeks depending on if I'm working in my personal room (less plants) I'll go through and top dress with high phosphorus Guano (same ratio) but for the bigger rooms I work in I mix it in water and water with it every two weeks. I use 1/2 cup per every ten gallons. I don't let it sit because a lot of the beneficial microbes won't live that long once they hit the water unless you provide some aeration and molasses. I just vigorously stir the water before applying to each individual plant. Works great for me!
