Basement QUestion

Not sure if this is the correct place to put this. I have been doing alot of research and planning of my grow space. I am in the final stages of set up and hope to be up and running soon. Then yet another issue popped up. I have setup a pvc & panda film structure in the corner of my basement. Now my basement is old cement floor cinder block walls and I gotta be honest it is kinda musty the joy of an old house> So my question is will my musty basemnt affect my grow? Any input or experience would be great. Thanks so much in advance...

When you say musty, is that just the old smell or is humid and potentially moldy? If there is potentially mold, I would be real careful, clean the heck out of it with bleach, and keep a sealed room.

I live in an old house with the exact type of basement.

I've been growing down there swimmingly for years now.

2 important rules to basement growing are air circulation and cleanliness.

Happy growing!

you will definitely need to look out for mold especially during the final phases of floral growth... do like the man said and bleach the hell out of what you've got, and if at all possible attach the film to plywood (not the walls of the basement) so you can periodically clean back there, and molds will not build up so quickly... also it might be worth getting a dehumidifier if your ac doesn't do that for you... to much moisture is just inviting trouble... good luck, can't wait to see pix...
