Basement grow room

The concrete slab was a good idea and you're on your way to success. You plan on building a room on top of the concrete I'm hoping? What kind of temps do you have in the basement? Cold climate? If so, insulation might be needed to keep the room around 60 degrees during lights out.

I'd just go cheap, 2x4 studs, build a room u won't be too mad incase you have to rip down one day. It can be done for $200 easily I'd say.

That's a space many of us can only dream about, but a first grow utilizing that much space seems like a pilot doing their first solo in a jet. Consider starting small and simple. With that much space you could start a new crop each month, incorporating lessons learned. You'll then be able to gain experience and refine the space without risking one large crop.

Led? What kind of climate do you live in? I imagine the LEDs wouldn't put off enough heat to heat the basement..

So I got 16 feet from wall to wall

25 feet in length

350 sq ft total

In contemplating LED.. King plus 1000w in particular, what do you guts think ?
If you want to do LED, you should go to the LED section on this site, do some research, and build your own. You seem handy, and committed to do it right, so that is the way to go. I've never heard of the brand you mentioned, so it's probably crap....no offense, just saying. COBs are the only way to go when it comes to LED. If you don't want to go through that, CMH would be my next suggestion. I would mainly be concerned if your electric service is up to the task. Room buildout, mini split, new electric service......350 square foot grow, you're looking at investing another 10-15k minimum if you do the work yourself. You said you were investing the last of what you had in this, you might want to start with a smaller room initially, planning ahead for expansion once you start to recoup your funds. It takes time to get dialed in, and additional expenses will pop up, so leave yourself a little breathing room.

Thanks guys, I live in PNW stays pretty cool out here around mid 70s in summer months. Basement should be 10 degrees cooler. I really don't want to install a mini split. But it seems like I don't have an option.

Yeah that will be best for ya.

BEFORE you pour more, take this advice....

Dig out a spot for a couple water reservoirs / wort chillers and incorporate this into your concrete.

You will thank me later!!
This^^^^ ...Sometimes i wish i could pour concrete in a new basement myself with growing in mind. With your limited height....this guys advice is golden.
