Barney's Acapulco Gold

Anyone else have any experience with this?

I grew it once like 8 years ago from a pick n mix, now I only order packs, and started 2 at the end of the year, 1 of which I have yet to harvest. The one I recently harvested, about 2 weeks ago now as I just put it in the freezer, as it finished what looks like a month before the other will be done.

Anyone have a suspicion about the possible genetics?

From the two I have this year I'd say most definitely some Skunk, possibly #1 from the type stink each one of them have. From the smaller quicker one, it had structure similar to how AK-47 I've typically seen, shorter bushy long side branching, finishing pretty quick for a 70% sativa dominant hybrid. The longer flowering one is extremely resinous, especially on the lower half. According to the pistils it has a couple weeks left, According to the nanners I've spotted over the last couple of days I'd say it's done. The structure of it looks like a super lemon haze I finished about 6 months back, tall and huge buds.
I dont have any pictures of the one I already harvested

I have grown it from seed then cloned them twice.
Very good smoke and a great day high.
Others had chimed in to say that it is not the strain from the 70s or so but they (cant remember the two on here) really liked it.
I grew mine in DWC and 6 weeks veg and 12 weeks flower. I needed to open the bigger colas to get air inside as I lost one due to rot.

Nice i have a pack but haven’t run yet. Maybe next run
Isn't Acapulco Gold a 100% Sativa,old time hippy 60-70's smoke that would take 12-16 wks flowertime,I have done Barney's Van. Kush,Orange Sherbert,Liberty Haze,Laughing Buddah,Pineapple Chunk,and Peyote Cookies outdoors,this season I've got V.Kush and a new one Blue Sherbert in the mix.

Not sure could be. Not home. Actually im running a few blue sherbet sunsets now still in veg
Cool,I'm looking forward to trying it,high THC and I've done well w/another Sunset Sherbert cross called Sherbert Pebbles by Dank which is FPOG(cereal cut)X Sunset Sherbert the last 2 yrs. tight heavy pretty fire bud.Although I've only got seeds for this yr.(3) and a couple left in my library, think this breeder is done.

Real deal Acapulco gold is 100% sativa that would certainly be a minimum of 16 weeks, this isn't that, a barney's farm creation they named Acapulco Gold in homage to the famous strain. This is the only barney's strain I have experience growing, but I know LSD to be really good as well, there's a couple more I remember smoking many years Ago

I put this one in flower 12/23 and am chopping today because of nanners, so 13 weeks, and id like to let it go a couple more. I remember liking the smoke the first time I grew it terps were different then but then again I have much healthier bigger plants grown organically.

Is Snowhigh even in business anymore? Everything on Attitude is out of stock.

I haven't seen even the slightest bit of info about the genetics used by Barney to create this. They don't even allude to anything being from anything to be considered Acapulco gold in the heritage.

Got ya,I'm almost 57 and never seen it myself, guess I needed to be 10 yrs older, had a couple goldish looking bag weeds in early-mid80's,you could bump into some real hemp in those days including washed up salt water bales, but the couple golds I had were typical head high Sativas that you tripped pretty good on without the lethargic Indica stone.

Attitude is slipping big time,a lot of shitty immature seeds, and many breeders are out of stock, only used them for a couple Holy Smoke strains and had a tech savvy friend do the order for me thru bank transfer so I didn't have to send cash across the FKN ocean like I used to do before the US got into the game ,for Barney's,Dutch Passion, and Greenhouse, which are basically my only euro breeders of interest,I now go to N.Atlantic in Maine,200 miles from Mass.,Attitude used to be the go to,but their just about done in my eyes w/all the options in the states and their quality and stock issues, who needs the BS now, though I got some shitty seeds from them immature or non germinating, I did some 1K orders and mostly did OK,never got confiscated or ripped, but times change and other than a specific need,I don't see myself doing anymore large scale bus. w/them

Yeah, I've ordered mostly from US banks lately, and keep learning about new ones, I haven't heard of the one in Maine before, I'll check them out. Attitude has certainly had a lot of out of stock, and like you I really only ordered from them the last year or so because I could send money through Zelle and pay for it. The actually seeds I've gotten from them has been good.
