Ban Lipa Yai Shrooms BRF cakes

i ordered this culture from mycrotopia.net on a recommendation from morfin56 here on the forums

the culture is Ban Lipa Yai, whatever that means to anyone with the experience! haha!

they got here a couple days ago so i'm gonna grab some jars and shit from the market in a day or two

never tripped on shrooms before, but i want to and i'm not willing to try any bought ones. i just don't have any reliable enough sources

i will log the project here.

i have a bunch of fluoros and t5's and stuff i can use but i am not sure what i will even need of it.

youll be seeing mushrooms in the near future my friend... if i can help at all, heres my opinion.. brown rice flower is a pain in the balls to find lol for your 1st run id use a popcorn tek and do it that way... grow in bulk my friend! im on my 1st popcorn run now and they are doing AWESOME. still colonizing but moving super duper fast. microsporetech.com.. ill start a grow journal soon so people can see if the sites good or not, all i know is i got 36 cc's for 20 dollars.. 24 cc brazilian and 12 cc b+.. its buy 2 get one free all day everyday and i got them in like 5 days tops from when i ordered on a saturday night. so im excited just like you man haha, BRF tek is super easy, but i like the idea of popcorn, cheap as shit and easy to use. definitely keep us updated! i was really really really wanting this strain, both me and my female :-P nice choice sir

^looks like a good site. they all look shady. but this one delivered. took a month but whatever. they didn't even charge me for shipping

they sell bags of organic brown rice flour at the market in town, but if something works better let me know and i will see if i can get that instead

would organic hemp flour work?

i saw somewhere that it helps to fruit the cakes one stacked on the other, in pairs

is that what people mean by bulk? what's the bulkiest way to harvest the cultures?

what if i just cultured a big fat tray of substrate, and fruited that, like a field

how much of what i just said would lead to absolute disaster?

did i come across as stressed out? oops, that's just my sense of humour

i like the look of that tub method better than cakes

i have standard sized mason jars if all i need to do is mix up the spawn with the substrate in the bucket

that is clever to expand the coir with boiling water with the verm inside

is brown rice the only grain which would work for spawning?

Do what SH88 says, don't do PF Tek, start yourself out on the correct path, PF tek is like a big detour you have to make after you spend lots of time going in one direction and finding out that another was better.


Poppcorn works well, just pay attention to the details and you will be fine - also you will get a lot more mushrooms for the same time frame and the same amount of work - now, you choose.

thanks canndo. if popcorn is good for beginners then i will probably use that for the food.

i was thinking the mono tub method looked the easiest to start off with

do shrooms benefit from any types of vitamin supplements or PH balancers like lime or anything?

sounded stupid asking it since they're a fungus, but what happens if you don't ask

you got this man lol, i never bought a pressure cooker... i just barter to borrow one lol, when im ready ill give you an 8th type deal.. thats just a lot of money to put out for something ill only use with mushies

lol i use them for some GT 12 cc all was great till i ate the shrooms not a dam thing happened.Did the brf tek 4 cakes got about 3.5 to 4 g dry per flush per cake..ate 1.5 grams not a dam thing 60 min later ate 1 more gram nothing said fuck it wait about a week and said lets try this again this time i took 3 grams at once guess what same fucking out come..lol So i order some new Cambodian spore from http://www.thesporedepot.com/ will see how they turn out.

Yeah but dam i was really pump on having a nice mellow trip, and not even stomach cramps or anything.. let my know how yours turn out.
