Ballast seems to have stopped working properly???help?

Hey, one of my 1000w lights no longer turns on, I turned it off earlier today to rearrange the wiring a bit, then plugged it back in, and the ballast makes a loud vibrating noise and the bulb does not turn on. any ideas? i have a fun blowing cool air across my ballasts 24/7 so they are fine for heat...

The bulb does have to cool before lighting again. Change the wiring back.

Sorry by changing the wiring i meant, just unplugging it to untangle it from another cord. I let it cool and tried again.. I figure I'll take it to the shop tomorrow and get them to check it out.

UPDATE!

I opened the ballast up and tightened up all the connections between wires, then tightened the wires up near the bulb socket. And voila! Got all 2000w running again. peace out
