Ballast noise

Hey peepz! does anyone have a good idea for making ballasts a little quieter? or may have some suggestions on how to build something for ballasts to reduce the noise? i have 8 - 1000 watt ballasts, and having them in the same room is so loud. And i'm worried because their by an outside wall, and hoping the neighbors don't hear. Any suggestions would be much appreciate it. Thanx!

acoustic ceiling tile behind them will deaden it a little bit. keep them at least a foot from the wall if you can.
