Appreciate the help Flaming Pie. I did a little shopping and did some work on the case. My room is hot from my computer running at the same time as the box as well as no AC on. It looks like my box really relies on the AC being on to stay at 85.

It's sitting at about 90 degrees F sadly. I put my thermo hygrometer in their on the bottom just to see what the bottom temp looks like. I know with the books stacked in their it kind of reduces air flow a bit but that should change with time.

Here are a couple pics of the seedlings. I am not too sure on their condition. If someone can give me a diagnosis or at least opinion. This first one is my first planted 4 days ago and popped out by the next morning.

It's not growing as tall as the others. Its also been sitting under the 2 bulbs that are closer together so that may be a factor. Hoping its not a heat stroke stunting its growth. Its leaves have definitely been growing out though which I am happy about. Steady green. I plan to start adding small amounts of nutes to the water by the end of this week.

This next one is the second one that had been planted and I am not sure if its because its still developing or some sort of problem. The true leaves are twisting up a bit I feel. Its been sitting in the gap between the bulbs. And also notice it is taller than the first one. Stretching for light? Or showing sativa attributes already?

This last one looks kind of droopy but I don't know what to make of it. It has also been growing. Maybe I am worrying for nothing. I mean this equipment is known to be off even by a little bit. I shouldn't rely on that though huh.

And here is the whole gang.

I did some work on the exhaust which at first was running some good temps but then after I put on the aluminum tube and the carbon filter, the temp has gone up. At first I had it at a 90 degree angle but then remember hearing that that will restrict air flow so I twisted it a bit and now its not light proof which sucks but also the temps are still at 90 degrees.

I realize that stealth is not my forte but I've had to go to these lengths to obtain those perfect conditions. Its hard when the PC fans is what I am working with. I've been trying to find journals or videos of someone using an inline fan on a PC grow. I mean I already have the power strip and everything put in there really well. Don't really wanna start pulling things out unless it is needed.

Anyways I am too stoned to care atm, gonna go play some Black Ops Nazi Zombies and max out on some munchies. Blaze on. :eyesmoke:

nazi zombies ftw OH! look at ze puppies!

If stealth is not a priority then why did you decide to work with the pc case? why not a bigger grow area?

Well no stealth is still a priority. Getting something bigger would be too obvious. I realize that might make you lol cause it made me lol but I mean like I can cover this and its small. The smaller the better. The more manageable...minus the ventilation. But actually I was thinking about that earlier. We will see how this turns out.

All Im saying is if someone else can do it I don't see why I can't. Its hard to do when you don't have any concrete know how or explanation. My 2 exhaust fans are stacked on eachother, one on the inside and one on the outside both with a 83 CFM. So far I am happy with their growth. I am too impatient, I keep checking in on them like I'm stoned and baking some cookies...which sounds so good right now.

btw 90 is too hot, you wanna keep it between 75-85
I realize its too hot, I can't get it down, ventilation problem like I've been saying. I mean I could take off the carbon filter and elbow, it was running better...but then what the hell am I gonna do when these O2 pumping plants get bigger and start to smell ya know. Really trying hard to fix all this right now :-\. Its very discouraging.

I checked my seeds 7 times today...some might consider it unhealthy...

that should be enough airflow, but you need to get the temp down to at least 85

I live it at home sadly, point being I needed the stealth. I spent a lot of money and right now I am feeling defeat. I appreciate the help you've been giving me though Flaming Pie. Sort of don't care about money, I mean I realize I live at home but I plan to move out. I am still saving. This was just a fun project I was hoping to get right. I've been leaving my door cracked open to let heat out. Leaving it closed was putting it over 90 :-\. So you can see why I am really beating myself up right now, went through a lot of trouble putting it together.

I took one light out, it brought the temp down to 89 without having to leave it open so thats kind of good. With the 2 100 watt equivalent to supply a minimum amount of lumens per square foot, I think so at least. I really doubt its enough light to support the 3 but I don't we will see. I don't really plan on dropping anymore cash on this project though unless its for more nutes so if by the end of this week things aren't looking up I will probably scrap it and just put the PC back int he box it came in and just store it somewhere.

Yo, I have a thread on here somewhere that I built a PC case, temps are an issue always, best way is to cycle the air from the top out and have your intake be passive and lower in the case. My case has a fan in the back up top and a fan in the front in the bottom. I originally tried to do something similar to your ducting work with carbon filter. dont bother, get some ona gel or block and that will cover the smell just fine, I just used an ona block to cover the smell of a nearly full box for flowering that measured 2ftX2ft. Now for your light traps get some cardboard or poster board, if you get poster board get black, and if you get cardboard get flat black spray paint as well, the black helps lower the reflectivity of any surface its put on, less reflectivity, less light.
the light trap is a simple design and simple concept as well. I dont have this part on my thread(havent done it for my PC case, just the flower box, but same concept) but itll still work. just imagine your case is 20inches tall, and 10 wide. cut 2-5 15TallX5Wide pices of material and off-set them so that one goes the bottom 15 inches, and the next goes the top 15, the next the bottom 15, and so on... obviously use more material and tape/glue to make a box around the 15 inch pieces, just make sure the one closest to the box is at the top, so you get the hot air out first. if the exhaust fan is at the bottom make the light trap on the inside and have the side closest to the fan be open at the bottom and the other side be open at the top, again to take out hot air first.

for yours dont listen to the numbers i tagged in there, make the measurements fit your grow space. this is just what is going to work for my case and is already working for my flower box.

Hope this helps

Stay Up

That is basically taking apart my set up to move things around like that. I don't even wanna think of doing that. I think I am over thinking it. I've been looking around if 89 is okay to grow in then ill do it. I had high hopes before that are all but gone. I guess I am also becoming paranoid, the feeling of failure is just bringing me down. I have work tomorrow so I won't even really have time to mess with this until Wednesday. Just not feeling it.

yeah I went thru that with the build too. Ended up setting it aside after the thread was finished because I was over it, came back to it and am almost done with it. If you ever finish it its good for personal and if you ever upgrade its perfect to test new strains out or breed in. I hate to see someone give up when your almost there but I understand the feeling!

Maybe I can just convince myself that I am at least prepared for future growing right? I could probably store this somewhere in the basement. The losses in cash will be made up in 2 paychecks or so. And the seeds were bagseeds that I got from a dealer that I haven't spoken to in 3+ years. So there some positivity. I moved the case to sit directly in front of my open air vent with its side to it. AC isn't on but it looks like a few more degrees were dropped so its sitting at 87 degrees now as well as sitting closer to the wall and not protruding so much. If I can cover the wiring and exhaust then I could see this continuing to be stealthy as my parents don't really ever come into my room unless I have mail which is rare and I usually try and grab it first. But either way I think I am fine. I just really don't wanna spend anymore money on this. I have weed to smoke right now and that is all that matters right now.
